Using Amazon Echo to help track my food

I used to write down everything I ate & then have to transfer it to my Fitbit App or I would have to stop mid-snack to pull out my phone to track something.  Super inconvenient!  Now, I simply dictate to my Amazon Echo's "to do" list what I'm eating & transfer it later when I'm sitting in front of my computer.  As long as I sit down to do it at least once a day, it's still way easier than having to mess with written lists or constantly pulling out my phone.

For example, when I'm having a piece of string cheese and an apple at 2PM, I'll say "Echo add string cheese and apple afternoon snack to my to do list" and she adds it for me.  It's also great when I'm putting together something with a lot of ingredients like a taco salad bowl as I can say, "Echo add .3 oz sour cream ( I find using my digital scale easier than using measuring spoons) and 1 ounce cheese to my to do list".

Does anyone else use their Echo's for this function?  What methods do you find easiest to track your foods before you put them in the Fitbit program?
