I have just got hold of a Diet Gel containing Glucomannan Fibre. Your are meant to dilute the gel in water and drink 15mins before a meal. Does anyone know anything about Glucomannan Fibre and how it is meant to help with weight loss?
I am generally not a fan of "diet aids" but a colleague has recommended this product as he helps him maintain a healthy weight loss rate (1 to 2 lbs a week). With no unpleasant side effects.
Any views would be welcome. In particular opinons from people who have used this type of product.
Thanks
John.

Personally would keep away from using additional supplements.. to loose weight fast(er).. as soon as stopping with, it can backfire, possibly regaining all the weight..
It's about changing food habits (gradually), to eat when your body needs nourishment, stop when comfortably satisfied, not stuffed.. trying to honor the body not having more until its asking for more..
Preferably aiming to eat nutritient rich foods overall which benefit the body the most, staying satisfied for longer on less calories (fruits, vegetables, meat, chicken, eggs).. all foods provided by nature as minimum as processed as possible.
Watching out for prepackaged foods which contain ingredients not able to pronounce (its okay to have but with care)..
It's not a diet, diet can lead to giving up (cutting out whole food groups), being restricted to much (can't have once in a while your favourite food even if currently the thought of having some of your favourite food is there and doesn't go away.. leading to possibly binge eating..
When dieting works, it's required to keep eating the same way to stay at the new weight range..
Change food habits gradually without restricting any foods but having everything in moderation.
