Valentines Day to Easter Challenge 2016

Welcome to the next challenge! Smiley Very Happy

 

This one will run from Valentines day to Easter, so from February 14th to March 27th. Everyone and anyone can join this challenge in which we all set our own weight loss goals, this gives us 7 weeks in total to work towards them! Smiley Happy

 

This group of lovely people provides encouraging support and words of advice as we all share our experiences, good and bad. It has proved beyond helpful to myself and many others as we become healthier and achieve amazing things.

 

To be part of the challenge you start by posting your initial weight stats and what you would like to achieve by the end of the challenge. You can then check in as often as you'd like with a weight update, to share a story from your week or start a conversation about a topic you'd like some advice on.

A little rundown of terminology for anyone who is new: 

 

USW- Ultimate Starting Weight

CSW- Current Starting Weight

GW- Goal Weight

UGW- Ultimate Goal Weight

PW- Previous Weight

CW- Current Weight

MFP- My Fitness Pal

Hello Fitbit comunity. l bought my gadget November 2015, but was not sure how l could be motivated to use it. Meaning l was lost but now lm found. Is it too late to join the Challenge. this is my first time. some body Help please.

This is my first Challenge and though I'm a little late to join, I kind of started one on my own this past weekend so it works out! Just looking for some extra motivation.

I tend to bulk up really fast, gain lots of muscle, lose fat but not weight. I need help losing weight, ie fat. I do lots of cardio(elliptical, stationary bicycle, stairmaster and HIIT), 5 days a week to the tune of 400-500 calories daily. Calories do not exceed 1200 daily and have stayed at CW for the last two weeks. What to do?

Exercise won't help drop fat once you are fit (sounds like you are).

 

How about eating like a lioness for a few weeks?

 

Cut carbs dramatically, eat less often (occasional stretches of 16-24 hours fasting won't hurt), and chow down protein and healthy fat (or a zebra) when you DO eat. Don't sweat the calorie count; just wolf down zebra when you eat.

 

If 'normal' diets have failed, you might be surprised with this plan's results 🙂  Rob

Hello, Everyone! I was on the previous Valentine Challenge and I am happy to report that I met my previous goal (I lost 12 pounds). Now it's time for a new goal. Here we go:

 

I am 5'5", and will be 62 at the end of March. 

 

  • USW- Ultimate Starting Weight - 187 (Sept. 2015)
  • PW- Previous Weight - 183 (Jan.05, 2016)
  • CSW- Current Starting Weight - 170.5 (on Feb. 14)
  • GW- Goal Weight - 160 by Easter, March 27 (11 lb)
  • UGW- Ultimate Goal Weight - 135

Hi, @dianenyc ! Good to see you enrolled on to the new goal. Congratulations on reaching your previous goal. I am happy to report that I have reached my previous goal on Valentine day (171lb). My goal for this season is to get to 160 lb. I pray you have a great time as you prepare for Easter, and continue to grow closer to the Lord.
