Welcome to the next challenge!
This one will run from Valentines day to Easter, so from February 14th to March 27th. Everyone and anyone can join this challenge in which we all set our own weight loss goals, this gives us 7 weeks in total to work towards them!
This group of lovely people provides encouraging support and words of advice as we all share our experiences, good and bad. It has proved beyond helpful to myself and many others as we become healthier and achieve amazing things.
To be part of the challenge you start by posting your initial weight stats and what you would like to achieve by the end of the challenge. You can then check in as often as you'd like with a weight update, to share a story from your week or start a conversation about a topic you'd like some advice on.
So excited for us to keep working towards our goals with the fantastic friends from the last challenges and a big 'Hello!' to all the challenge newbies!
Thank you @awood08 for kicking off the last challenge!

This will be my first challenge, but I'm in! At the start of the new year, I began working out with a personal trainer with one of my roommates 1-2 times a week and we are in the gym on our own on the other days. We've also been doing the Workweek Hustle challenge on a weekly basis for some friendly competition. Both of these things have helped me to stay motivated and I'm proud of the progress/comittitment I've had so far. However, it never hurts to have more motivation/accountability! LETS DO THIS!!

I'm in!
5'3" , 24 yo.
USW - 162 lbs May 2012, 141 lbs January 2016
CSW - 135.6 lbs February 8th 2016 (last weigh-in time)
GW - 130 lbs at Easter
UGW - 125 lbs
My weight has been yo-yo-ing up and down for the past year, was 132 last January and almost met my next milestone weight but then too much was happening in my life and gained almost 10 pounds over the year.
Ultimately losing weight is my primary goal, but "maintaining" would be the next ideal thing between now and Easter. If I can keep my weight down, as I'm trying to overcome a (really) recent broken heart and I turn to food in emotional distress (terrible habit I'm aware, trying to change that), I would be so happy.
I'll check back in a week or so, and let you all know my progress and how i'm emotionally feeling, since emotions and mental wellbeing play an important role in weight loss.
Thank you for all of your support during this challenge and I of course will be supporting all of you!

Welcome to all the new people! We have all been following and checking in with each other for months now! We are a great group, I hope you find this hepful and welcoming 🙂
With only 9 pounds to go, I'm going to shoot for whatever I can lose this challenge. If I get 160 great, if not I'll keep going. Now the hard part is going to be maintaining this the rest of my life and not allowing myself to fall off the wagon.

Hello my fellow fitbit community members,
This is my first time posting and finding out that there is an whole entire fitbit community of people. I would like to join this challenge to refocus myself due to the fact my doctors have told me I need to lose weight. I have high blood pressure at the age of 25. I am dealing with alot of emotional stress and I am an emotional eater. I have to focus because of my seven year old son who is dealing with autism. I need to keep myself alive for him.

Welcome Lovely,
And do it for yourself too. Sometimes writing when you feel stressed or upset helps instead of eating.
Raising a child with autism is an incredible challenge.
Looks like you are well on your way in that you show a loss of many lbs already.
We can do this together.

Come back whenever you need to get and give support. I agree about emotions playing a big part in weight gain and loss. I love what you said as it made me laugh. I can identify
. "I may be slower than a herd of turtles stampeding through peanut butter, but it will not stop be from inching my way to the finish line!"
All the best,

I can really relate to that I just turned 40 in January and It was much easier to put on the weight than take it off but I try to remember all the cliches like Rome wasn't built in a day, well I didn't put all the weight on in one day and it's not gonna come off in one day. And methods that used to work when I was younger like starvation and running 90 to nothing because I was a single mom....just doesn't work now that my joints hurt and hormone imbalance. lol I was very glad to see your post and know there are people my age trying to live healthier too.
