Welcome to the next challenge!
This one will run from Valentines day to Easter, so from February 14th to March 27th. Everyone and anyone can join this challenge in which we all set our own weight loss goals, this gives us 7 weeks in total to work towards them!
This group of lovely people provides encouraging support and words of advice as we all share our experiences, good and bad. It has proved beyond helpful to myself and many others as we become healthier and achieve amazing things.
To be part of the challenge you start by posting your initial weight stats and what you would like to achieve by the end of the challenge. You can then check in as often as you'd like with a weight update, to share a story from your week or start a conversation about a topic you'd like some advice on.
So excited for us to keep working towards our goals with the fantastic friends from the last challenges and a big 'Hello!' to all the challenge newbies!
Thank you @awood08 for kicking off the last challenge!

Happy Friday everyone! Apparently my diet of 'only eat what is in the fridge so you don't have to throw it away next week when you move' is working for me. I've been pretty good about not drinking soda still...which means I only had it twice this past week. I'm still sick so I've been guzzling water as well. I've met my 10k step goal most days in the past week. This weekend will be a bit tough, since we are moving across the country we are hanging out with all of our friends here/back where our parents live. Since it's planned I think I'll be able to make good choices while out to eat - but it's still eating out, so I'll just have to over compensate with the workouts beforehand if I can.

Ok. So weekly check in and i condition myself every weigh in by visualizing a couple pounds above last week (because even when I feel I have done well it still fluctuates!) before I look down at the scale. This morning I was very happy! 20 lbs to go until UGW. It was so hard yesterday at lunch watching a collegue order and eat a rodeo burger and crispy french fries while I opted for the bacon burger without the bun and a squash medley and a peach flavored water. Thanks fbuser2015 for providing the inspiration to push on towards ONEderland!

Congrats to all challengers making healthy choices and losing or maintaining. We can do this.
The scale said 141.9 yesterday and 141.3 this AM so I'm pleased as that gives me a BMI of 22.1. I simply need to drink more water and herbal tea and not go to the nuts and dried fruit supply as much. I'm working on eating less after dinner since I'm up until midnight to 1 many nights. I'm trying to go to sleep earlier and eat some protein & fiber for breakfast.
I think that I can get to the 139 area by next Sunday 3/13 for my dance comp.
Let's stay strong,
Barbara G

Down 1 lb this week. I have started to walk more and am still watching what I eat. I am keeping at 1300 calories a day or just under. I have been able to fit in a couple of small glasses of wine this week. And a white chocolate Mocha. Thank you Starbucks for sending me a coupon for a free drink. lol...
I couldn't resist and of course I ordered a vente.

"Steady" as she blows I suppose. Which is okay. It's my secondary goal at the moment to stay at my current weight, though I'm hoping to drop a few this month! 🙂
I've reduced my snacking a bit, I'm feeling emotionally better, like on a scale of 1 to 10, I'm about a 7. Still have bad days now and then, but it's been an interesting journey. I have a midterm exam due tomorrow, and another one in a couple weeks. I've also taken up blogging and I have about 6 posts on my blog right now and it's nothing too fancy yet. I'm finding that writing other things is helping me keep a busy mind. I don't necessarily need to be busy physically (though I want to be trust me!), but mentally I seem to fair better when I'm focused. So my blog is my focus right now plus school and work!
Things have been looking up since last month.
I also saw a nutritionist this past week, and had discussions with her. She told me to keep my calorie intake between 1200 and 1300 and then eat more calories if I felt like it if I did some good exercising. So I'm going to try my best to do that. I also have to eat more fruits and veggies but I already knew that. She recommended to me to bring fruits to work and eat veggies at dinner time. That way I get both because fruit at dinner is strange to me. I should also not be such a picky eater and try something at least 3 times and each time in a different way.
Next week I'm starting to train for my 5K come April 10th. I'm super excited for it. I got the couch to 5k app and it's supposed to be nice out in Michigan next week (and rainy sadly), so on sunny days I'm going on the trail, and on rainy days I'll use my work's new exercise room.
Thank you for all of your support for those who have been following my rare postings. It makes me happy! 🙂

Not that much time to go until Easter, I don't know if I'll make it to my goal of 200 with over 8 lbs left to lose. The only place I have left for improvement is diet, so if I have any chance of making it to goal I will have to really tighten up the diet these next few weeks.
Keep pushing everyone!

Congrats for all of you who are losing and maintaining.
The thing that seems to be working for me is really counting my calories in vs out. I use MFP. This week not including today I have made it my goal to reach my 10,000 steps and ive accomplished that. I am currently doing the insanity workout program (I am not a BB anything, my husband just has them). i missed monday & tuesday so doubled up on the days that followed after. I will also jump on the elliptical if i am still in need of steps. If the weather permits I take my dogs for 1mi walk/run. its been snowing on & off this week. in regards to that i had a thought while running "oh no I have become one of the crazies who go joggingg in 30 degree weather, who am I?" not really a bad thing is it. And my puppies are pretty worn out after so its works out for all us.

Weigh in was this morning and i am down another pound -- definitely on track to meet my Easter goal. I am walking 10K+ (I have met my step goal every day since February 1st!!!) and eating no more than 1800 calories -- I have myfitnesspal set to a 500 calorie deficit but when I limit my calorie intake to 1800 -- no matter what -- I usually have a few extra calories on top of that (this week ranged from 65-237). I know, from experience, that if I eat more than 1800, I will maintain but not lose so I try to be very obsessive about logging -- this week I was under 1800 for 6 of 7 days! That one day i wasnt logging throughout the day and i was surprised at the total calories once i logged everything in.... 😳 Gosh you'd think I would learn....
Weight on Feb 15th 184.2
Weight on Feb 21st 181.8
Weight on Feb 28th 181
Weight on Mar 3rd 180
GW 177 (by Easter)
UGW 165 (by June 30)
Great to read about everyone's successes and hints!!
Hope you have a great week.
