Welcome to the next challenge!
This one will run from Valentines day to Easter, so from February 14th to March 27th. Everyone and anyone can join this challenge in which we all set our own weight loss goals, this gives us 7 weeks in total to work towards them!
This group of lovely people provides encouraging support and words of advice as we all share our experiences, good and bad. It has proved beyond helpful to myself and many others as we become healthier and achieve amazing things.
To be part of the challenge you start by posting your initial weight stats and what you would like to achieve by the end of the challenge. You can then check in as often as you'd like with a weight update, to share a story from your week or start a conversation about a topic you'd like some advice on.
So excited for us to keep working towards our goals with the fantastic friends from the last challenges and a big 'Hello!' to all the challenge newbies!
Thank you @awood08 for kicking off the last challenge!

I'm in and thanks! I am a stress eater and tend to graze a lot. Can you say moo?
My goal will be reached if I eat everything sitting down at the kitchen table. Even if it is one M&M. 🐵

I wonder how @Bobbinyc is doing? Haven't seen him around the boards in a while.
Good to see you around again too! You probably have been around just not on the last challenge board 🙂

Just got my fitbit yesterday... would love to try this challenge. I think I'll aim for 9 pounds in 7 weeks... I'm old though, so I hope that's realistic 🙂

Hi all! I did ok at first in the last challenge...and then Mardi Gras and my time of the month brought me back up. But, I'm still below my highest weight so it's still progress! I'm going to push myself a little harder this time. My weight is actually from last Friday and not today because I'm in Colorado looking at houses until Wednesday and I'd rather keep weighing on my same scale. I just don't know if I can trust the one that is in the gym at my hotel. I'll also be moving during this challenge (hopefully at least!) so maybe packing will help me be a bit more active too.

Oh yeah, in the last challenge someone asked about a way to get rid of all of the emails. I've got mine setup so that I get a daily digest of what everyone posted in any of the discussion boards I've posted on. But, if someone mentions me (puts an @ before my username) then I get an email notification immediately. To do this you click on the gear next to your picture in the community and then click Settings. Once the settings window opens you click on the Subscriptions and Notifications tab and then the Notification Settings sub-tab. In the Email Notifications section you can set it so that you get notified in a daily digest. My daily digest comes around 7:30 Central Time.

@lusry Thank you so much for the email subscription information. It was driving me a bit crazy!
This weekend was the first weekend I have met my steps goals! 13K on Saturday and 12K yesterday.
I also meal planned for the week and got my meals done Satuday. Packed my lunch bag last night. It was nice to just grab it from the fridge this morning, instead of not having anything to bring to work. Made chikcen and salsa in the slow cooker and I can have that with different sides,
Got my snacks for work packed too. Greek yourgut with blueberries, baby carrots & cucumbers, and I have almods as well.
Along with getting my 10K steps in daily, I have also been doing short HIIT videos. They are great with toning. Best of all, they are anywhere from 12-15 minutes. You don't need much to do them at home either. Free on youtube. It's from Tone It Up. I am currenltly doing their challange. Last time I did their Bikini challange I lost 15 lbs.
I do not follow their meal plan, but I try to follow their principals (no starch, carbs, or fruits after 3 pm, lean protein, etc). I personally love carbs, and so this allows me to have a little before a certain time.

Hi @dianenyc,
Even though you're not recording (I don't really understand your issue with Lent--probably because I'm a heathen, lol--because when I cut certain things out of my diet for Lent (or whenever), those pounds off are legitimate and make me proud!), I just wanted to thank you for your many kind words over the last several weeks and tell you how much you will be missed. I will still invite you to fitbit challenges, and as I will no doubt be back for at least one more weight loss challenge, I will look forward to catching up with you then. All the best with your Lenten goals!

You are so awesome, Barb! If I would just listen to you and stop listening to that demon inside me who loves junk food, I would take off these pounds!! You are so much nicer than that demon, too. I am going to try very hard to listen to you and to kill the darn demon!! It sure sounds easy, doesn't it? Hah!
