I have 6 to go, but I'm doing up to 30,000 steps a day now to boost my weight loss. I go out of town most weekends and don't get a chance to get my steps in or workout so I normally gain. It's certainly a battle but I'm not giving up yet. I still have a week to go!!

Best Answer

30,000 steps is crazy awesome! I know what you mean about gains, I gained about 4lbs eating hospital food last week. I did not reach over 2,000 calories but I still gained, it's coming off slowly too. *sigh*

Happy counting to you! Keep it up!

Today is weigh in dun dun dunnnn

I did not do too well. Last week was rough, my DH was in hospital, so I ate whatever was available. I don't think I ate over 2,000 calories but my weight is still way up. Anyhoo here is my stats

as you can see I won't be making my goal weight, but I am doing my best. I just got a treadmill so that should help move things along. Cheering you all on!

Hope your dh is on the mend now and doing your best is all you can do Noir, well done on losing anything with all of that going on.

This is my last official weigh in before saturday but i may jump on the scales just to see on Saturday anyway but
SW 110KG
GW 105KG
CW 106KG

I am over the moon halfway through the goal I changed to maintaining as we got the news my husband would be deploying at short notice and i didnt want to focus on weightloss in that period, he went sooner than we expected so while i have a few long months coming I am back on it, 3kg of that weight loss was this week!

Best Answer

Thanks Deafworm, he is doing pretty well. 2 weeks of antibiotics left. Sorry to hear about your Husband getting deployed, he will have a happy healthy hot wife to come home to Woman Wink You are doing great! Crazy good 🙂 What charges have you made?

Fingers crossed for a quick simple recovery then 🙂 I will still have quite a way to go when he gets back but I will definitely have a decent start made! Thank you 😄 in the last month my average steps have gone from 3000 to 8000 a day, I've started drinking lots more water, I'm hitting 3 pints a day but aiming for 4 and I have started back on the Paul Mckenna system, listening to my body, eating slower and smaller portions. I have a few good incentives this year though DH comes home in the summer and I graduate from my degree (I have been working part-time on it for years) in October so I'm working a stone at a time and it's going to come off and stay off

Nice Deafworm! 3 great happenings for you! It will come off. I have been stepping up too. I have my new treadmill and I love it. A friend recommended it, sub $400 and it has all these fancy features, even a incline up to 10% I am finally back down to where I was pre-hospital weight. 70.2 more lbs to go 🙂  We got this! One day at a time.

Sounds like you made a good buy there, my treadmill is annoying me as my charge doesn't pick up if I'm holding on. I've taken to (when I'm in the house with the kids) getting up every hour setting a timer for 10 minutes and walking on the spot fast enough to get active minutes. It seems to be working for getting my step count up, my lot are on school holidays next week so I've got all four of them off but the week after I'm going to add an exercise DVD in each night with Sunday off, I'm looking at flitting between Jillian Michaels and some yoga, I'm going to have a look into what's on youtube for yoga over the holidays so I'm ready to kick off on the 23rd. You can do it 😄 one day at a time is definitely the way. I've got 98lb to go but still it will come off and once its done it's not going back!

I also hold on to the side bars on the treadmill and it does not count. I just add my duration and miles per hour to the activity tracker. Not ideal as I would rather have my fitbit pick up the steps like it use to. It is just not as sensitive as it use to be wonder if they updated it to be less sensitive since so many pepole we complaining about it tracker more steps that they should.

I like your timer idea! I might try that 🙂 It is still hot here and I wish it would go away so I can get more steps in. We got this! One day at a time.

When I am on my threadmill, I attach my fitbit to my shoe 😉 that way every step counts!

That is a great idea Elansc!

OK - I made my Valentine goal a bit early and have been sitting at 149.4 for a while but I am not complaining.  This is a life style, not a diet, right?  I have been experimenting to see what kind of workout routine is sustainable.  One week I went to the Y 5 days for treadmill and did weight-lifting (New Rules routine) on two of those days and then felt run over by a truck the next several days.  Not sustainable.  This week I went M-W-F and did not fret about making steps-goals the other days.  Those "Y" days included heavy lifting and intervals. I feel "worked out" but not "truck wrecked."   So I will do the same pattern next week and see what happens.

Thank you Noir for setting up the challenge 🙂 it's been awesome to have the comraderie these past weeks!
