Weekly Weigh In 2023

For 2023, I am weighing myself daily and will log my moving average every Monday for accountability and support. Please feel free to join in.

 

My goal is drop about 1/2 lb a week until I get down to 160-165 lbs.

This is a great idea! 👣 I just weigh myself when the mood hits.  Fasting 16 hrs a day with two meals in 8 hours.

Wow, wonderful results, do you manage to do the 10k steps per day also? Going on holidays in 5 weeks time and I am hoping to lose 2lbs per week

Missed reporting last Monday. March Madness took a toll, as I am up 2.3 pounds for the month per TrendWeight. That's mostly due to too much beer and eating while watching the tournament, and business travel last week.  I'm not too worried about it though; I expect I'll get back to my normal habits for April.

 

Welcome @notabossymom. Intermittent fasting has gotten a lot of traction lately, and I know a lot of folks in the forums are curious about it. Looks like you are having good success in weight loss this year. Did you just start IF this January or have you been doing it longer that?

Reading an earlier post where you were happy with half pond a week.  I have learned that fast weight loss = fast return of weight.  Exercise and portion control are the most difficult and essential for weight loss.  Keep plugging away, and keep posting.

@Sweetreturns2 -- I think you are absolutely right about the fast return of fast weight loss. One way to think about it is that slow weight loss is close to maintenance so you are continuously building and reinforcing your long-term habits.

One of my long-term habits is biking. I've got several bikes, and a couple of unicycles, but this pedal-assist bike has been getting a lot of action over the past few weekends.

5 months into 2023 and I'm down 3.3 lbs. Doesn't seem like much but a downward trend is a downward trend. 🙂
