Hi Alecia,
I am new to the Fitbit thing too. My name is Lee (My friends and family call me Foofoo) I just started Saturday. I am a 44 y/o married woman from Phoenix, AZ and am wanting to lose 85 pounds. ....WOW.... 85 pounds..... seems like such a daunting amount.....
Anyway, I am determined to get there and could use a few support buddies myself. I look forward to hearing from you.
All the best
Foofoo

ironically my name is Lee too. I am new to Fitbit. Just got the fitbit One on tuesday. I am already enjoying the goals it sets each day and I am hopign I can achieve all teh daily goals within the next few weeks. I would liek to lose 100 lb however I have only set my gowl for 40 lbs right now as a shorter term goal. If I can get back into the 100's I would call that success. Can't do this on my own and I also use My fitness Pal to get support.

Hi I"m Kate in Phoenix and started using fitbit flex about 2 weeks ago. So far burning about 3K calories more than I take in each week and I know I can easily double this with more support. I have set an alarm for 330pm which seems to be ideal time for me to get on treadmill or walk the dog. I am 54, retired military and I work full time from home. I live in the Phoenix / Laveen area and have been here 7 years. I have about 30 pounds to lose and never find! I have lost about 20 pounds before but that was 20 years ago and then I lost about 12 pounds after moving here and know I can do it again but am here to motivate others and myself - nice to "meet" you.

So excited, and I guess relieved too, to see this thread growing. It's good to feel I will have some online friends to brag to when I do well, to help me get refocused when I stumble, to help them through their tough days, and to be inspired by their progress and success.
So far so good here, not as steps in as I would have liked but very happy with my food choices and have hit my calorie goals each day. YAY!

I have about 79 lbs to lose, and I have the Fitbit Flex. I enjoy looking at my stats as well. I have mine linked with myfitnesspal, and I also belong to the Venus Factor. I find the Flex to keep me honest and on track. My first goal is to maintain 30 Very Active Minutes every day. Once I reach that I try and reach my 10000 steps a day.

Hi to everyone on this thread!
My name is Char. I've had my fitbit since December. I started my weight loss in November and have lost almost 58 pounds since then. I have about 22 left to go!! I only have one frient on my fitbit who introduced me to it. Unfortunately, she injured herself and has been on/off for the last couple of months.
I wanted to see if anyone wants to be 'friends' for more support? I'm not too competitive, but I have found that being pushed/encouraged by others actually helps me.
Anyone interested? I'm very supportive and love to cheer (or taunt if necessary)!

I hit my goal twice this past week, today by noon! normally it takes all day to get there. Tomorrow I'm going to hit 10K steps in one day for the first time. everyone seems so motivated! I am traveling internationally for work soon but will try very hard to use hotel treadmill. enjoy your weekend everyone!

WOW! I stumbled upon a motivating discussion! I have lost 35 pounds already after gastric bypass in December and the results have been amazing so far...i don't intend to stop until I hit my goal...used to weigh 341 lbs, now 306 so it's great! Let's keep motivating each other! Thank you!

I have been doing good at hitting my goals now I need to work at creating a defficit in my calories. I strive not eat in the evenings but as we all know that can be some hard. I feel like a failure when I eat within range all day then get salty craving in the evening. last night I had chip s and pop and it didn't even taste good 😞 but instead of stopping I just finished what I had put in my bowl. I think I need to reprogram my head into realizing what I'm doing.
woke up this mornign exhausted and in pain so not sure if the late evening snaks had anything todo with it.
Todays a new day gonna try to focus on that
