Weight gain

Happy new year to everyone. 2015 was a good year for me and my family, but the good times have now caught up with me having to post in shame a 4.2 lb weight gain. Hello 2016. The diet starts today!

"It does not matter how slowly you go, as long as you don't stop." - Confucius

And personally, I hate the word "diet". It's an instant set up for failure. I prefer "lifestyle change."

Yes i agree diet is an awful word to use but i tried the lifestyle change and that was a disaster too. On the positive side ive nearly done 10000 steps on a wet and windy dark day and havent gone over my calorie allowance. Taking it one day at a time. In work tomorrow so lets hope no one has left any biscuits or chocolates out

Don't worry - it's a whole new year.  I just received my first fit bit.  I have 25 lbs to lose.  How do I know how to set a goal for the number of daily steps I should be taking based on this weight loss goal.  I cannot run right now etc because of a bad back.  Happy New Year everyone

Week 1. Weekly steps target 70000. Actual 55000. Deficit 15000. All days below 10000. Very bad day on Sunday due to radio show early afternoon and drop off at Uni (3hours in car) and no dog walk. Week 2 about to commence now 0614 (waiting an extra minute as dont want to get up at 0613)
