Weight gain

Hi I need some help please, I'm being told many different things! To start I have lost 7 stone on shake replacement diet and then joined slimming world and hit target of 10.6 and treated myself to a Fitbit, in 7 weeks I have gained at .5lb a week and can't understand y, I do 40k steps 7 days a week and burn 3000 to 3500 calories a day, i have tried 1200, 1400, 1600 calories and still not losing the weight 😞 today I have gone back to 1430 calories and decreased stepping and exercise dvd, I haven't lost any cms neither! I have been told not to eat exercise calories so have huge deficits! I'm 39 and 5ft 7 and weigh 10.10 as of this morning, am I doing anything wrong I.e over eating? My fitness pal is set at 1430 calories per day and lightly active! Feeling disheartened! Thank u all

An individual your height (and female) should weigh about 126.5 lb. (just over 9 stone), with

a body fat of 10% to 20%. With the exercise you are doing, that is certainly enough (perhaps

even excessive for just a weight loss objective). That leaves calories for weight objective.

To weigh 126.5 lb., you need 1,289 calories plus those expended on exercise. The exercise

should be aerobic (walk/jog/run with minimal weight workouts). The nutrition should be natural

and un-manufactured, whole grains, fresh vegetables, fresh fruit - and a little bit of meat.

Thank u, I'm obsessed with exercise I know, I do also do 30 day shred! I'm also constantly hungry so maybe need to cut steps and exercise down 😞

I generally have higher deficits with weight loss as long as I maintained control. Staying away from "Bread", Candy, Chocolates, Donuts, etc.

Some of the foods SW recommends look a bit starchy and isn't good on weight loss or fat loss. Beer, wine and bread isn't really recommended on many diets as it increases your body fat with the mega carbs it has and some like me go out of control thinking about it. Even a loaf of "P28 Protein Bread" and Peanut Butter is really really bad for you.

There are other programs such as personaltrainerfood.com which has all the portions setup and prepackaged. Jenny Craig is another that's all packaged up but a bit overprocessed as many told me, but I fight it with enough calories burned and weights lifted to lower the body fat.
