Weight loss and Protein raising?

I have a fit scale.  I am losing weight however my protein percentage and water percentage is going up.  Why would this happen?

I don't think any scales measure protein %, or that it makes sense in body composition.  You eat protein, then your body converts it to muscle or fat, or maybe something else.   Do you mean fat, muscle, lean mass %?

edited: My mistake.  As pointed out by @t.parker ,  I see that Renpho scales at least do claim to measure protein, though I don't understand that.

@JohnnyRow Renpho does measure (or at least it think it does).

@MelMel10 don't go too obsessed with all those fancy additional metrics that smart scales give you. Most of them are not even close to reality (including BF%).

@t.parker  I just looked up Renpho scales - You are right, though I can't imagine what protein could mean as a scale measurement.

I can venture a guess that water is maybe retention but protein, no idea. I am sure the scale came with a user guide or something to help you decipher the data points, maybe take a look at that metric and see what it tells you.
