Water helps move things through the body. You do need more than a glass.
Your not losing as you are not eating enough. No one should eat 700 calories aday. You really should not go under 1200.
You do need to eat to lose weight. Also try some healthy fats. Oil, avacado, nuts. this will also help move things

Water is absolutely a NEED. As someone also said, it moves things along in your body. Try getting a water bottle and carry it around with you ALL day, EVRYWHERE you go. This helped me when I Hated water and wouldnt drink it.
If you do not eat enough than your body will think it is "starving" and hold onto what you are trying to loose. If you want to see results, eat a healthy amount regularly throughout the day.
Here are some things I have done for myself and my daughter (and we both seen results quickly)
1. change what we ate (of course). Pay attention to the calories, carbs, and sugars. The smaller the better for those.
2. Also pay attention to the serving size. We really can have most of what we want it we watch those things. If something is High in Calories or Sugar for 1 serving, perhaps only have a half of serving or a fourth.
And lastly, when you do eat pay attention to when you're "Not Hungry" anymore. Most times we look for when we are full, to stop eating, but at that time we generally have eaten to much.
This has helped us because, like I said, we can eat the things we like, just in very small portions and for the better options we eat more of that. One snack I started getting for my kids and myself was the baby snacks (Gerber). They are healthier and you can eat more with less calories and Carbs.
Good Luck!!!!

You should consume over the course of a day up to a gallon of water (64 ounces). Dehydration is not a good idea as you can die. Some people have a condition such as I do on Diverculitis (skipping fibers and waters too much). Your organs can also shutdown from lack of consumption.

Hi Missy!
So, first of all, are you logging what you're eating? It helps to log not only calories but WHAT it is you're eating.
Second, the rules of dieting come in many forms. A prolonged 700 calorie diet won't be healthy in the long run, or even for the entirety of the week. If you really want to run a severe calorie defecit then you'll need to look into Intermittent Fasting diets. These are proven to work, but even (on of the most popular FAD diets right now) the 5:2 diet gives you the opportunity to eat a good portion of calories 5 days out of the week.
Water consumption is key here as well. So is fiber - true - and this is where tracking WHAT you're eating comes in handy. If you're feeling like you're not getting much water in your diet, or that you haven't been drinking enough water (maybe because you just don't like it? it happens) then you need to incorporate water rich foods in your diet that ALSO give you a lot of fiber such as apples, watermelons, celery, -- pretty much all melons really.
My advice, pick a diet.. thats why they make them - for people that aren't really sure how much of what they should eat to achieve their goals - pick one and stick to it -- even if its just a juice "cleanse" (but be ready to drink a minimum of 64 oz of fruits and veggies that YOU juice yourself). Find something that works for you and log your information -- you'll see better results that way.

Well first of all, you're not eating enough. If you're afraid of eating too many calories, then eat a bunch of stuff that is low in calories (fresh or frozen veggies, fresh or frozen fruits, healthy light soups, protein such as lean meats like chicken breasts, fish) and make sure you are getting at least 1200 calories a day. The veggies and fruits will help you with getting more fiber.
Second, water is a MUST. You need to drink water throughout the day because bodies dehydrate very easily, even if you aren't aware of it.
If you're trying to lose weight, cut out all sugary drinks, especially soda. Put honey in tea instead of sugar, have your coffee black. And drink water water water.
Also make sure you are burning 500 more calories than you consume. Example: if you eat 1200 calories in a day, you need to burn roughly 1700 calories or more that day.
Weight WILL get harder to lose the smaller you get. And it usually always comes off easily in the first two weeks. Your body will hit plateus in which you will need to change up your workout (try different exercises and up the intensity) and you will need to make sure that you are eating foods full of fiber, protein, vitamins, and most importantly CORRECT PORTION SIZES. If you eat too much, well, you won't lose. Also, being constipated and water weight can play a part in not seeing the scale move, but don't worry about that. As long as you are eating right and getting enough movement in the day, you will lose weight.

as many have mentioned, you are storing waste. You need to fiber up and water up to produce a healthy movement. try lemon/lime/orange/strawberries in your water to make it taste like something. each time you change or complete whatever you are doing- go drink. as far as starving and all that- unless you are not eating for an extended period of time- your body won't starve unless you are very low body fat composition. you aren't losing weight more than likely because you aren't calcing your calories right or you are retaining water because you aren't drinking- so nothing is passing through. drink, eat right and log everything. stay active and you will see results. let us know how you're doing....
