What cleanses are the best/healthiest?

ANSWERED

I'm really looking into different options for body cleanses (supplements, juices, etc.), but I'm having a difficult time deciphering all of the information. Has anyone had any luck with a cleanse?

There is no scientific evidence that cleanses even work or clean "toxins" from the body. Besides you have multiple organs that are quite efficient at performing this task for you. No one needs to "cleanse". Just eat healthy; limit your intake of highly processed foods and perservatives, get enough fiber and drink water.

This may make you think twice about "cleanses":

That was a good article! Thanks, Dominique!

I am a bit biased, having lost a tenant to one of those boxed cleanses. Interestingly, when he died I went across the street to visit. My neighbor, a pharmacist came to the door in her robe, explaining she had to have surgery(maybe gall bladder, I cannot remember 10 years ago!) possibly related to the cleanse she had just done!!

I do not recommend it.

I think the article has some interesting points but I do love a good juice cleanse every other month.  Once you're eating clean and healthy though, you don't need to cleanse. Why? Because there's nothing to clean out! I do mine now with my mediation practice, once every other month. Look up Crazy Sexy Diet -- it's a green juice - vegan "detox". I get great results everytime I try it, but again, every few months bc there's nothing to debox when you've been relatively healthy.  I think this detox works really well when you're starting to jump start your new habits or you hit a plateau and haven't done green juice and vegan before. Personally I drink Shakeology everyday as my post workout drink and its my breakfast too. I'd love to talk more about the greeen juice or shakeology, feel free to private message me!

I am on the NuLean cleans weight loss system.  On Day 6 with 9 pounds gone.  Is it easy -- nope, but doable.  Go0gle it.  It is sold mostly at chiropractic offices.  All natural and according to my Dr. it is all the toxins in your system that allows the weight gain to return so quickly after any weight loss system.  NuLean is all natural -- no drugs and it is working for me.  He claims getting the toxins out is crucial to initial and lasting weight loss.
