What level of "athlete" am i and you?

Hello,

I signed up for MFP, and other sites etc all they all want to know my fitness/activity level.  How do I answer,  I am on my feet for 8 hours a day and record 11k+, steps on work days without working out.  I work out 3-5 days a week and the total work out time is 60-90+ minutes.  This time includes both cardio and weighlifting.

So knowing this how do I classify myself for things like fitcal.me, MFP and other places/sites which ask how active I am?

Thanks for your help

I’m familiar with the FitCal.me calculator and its five activity levels. Based on that (comparisons of said activity levels with what Fitbit claims I’ve been burning), I’d say your activity level is somewhere between "light" and "moderate". Of course, if you have been using your Fitbit for some time, you can do the same comparisons.

Estimating energy expenditure with an activity tracker is not exact science (more about this in this article). Some people who have been tracking their food intake very meticulously (though that too in not necessarily 100% accurate) say Fitbit trackers are not very accurate. Others who have been using several Fitbit trackers side-by-side have noticed they give different results (for calories burned). If you plan to use Fitbit, MFP etc. for the purpose of losing weight, the ultimate tools are the scale, the tape meter and the mirror.
