Which fitbit should I buy and why?

I am looking for a great fitness tracker that suits my needs and through my long research, I still have yet to find what I believe is best. I am in the gym 5-7 times a week were I do alot of weight training, stationary bicyles, and even enjoy a good game of indoor soccer when I can. I ride my bicycle to class daily and Im looking for something that I can use to track all of this information, give me calories burned and an easy display of what I am actually doing. I go on hikes and back packing trips atleast twice a year and if I could record that data as well that would be awesome. Thanks for the feedback!

Fitness trackers are step based. A lot of what you do is not.

Your might what to try the Surge or a Heart Rate Monitor.

I use the fitbit to track steps but I use a Polar F7 to get the calories burned when I do exercise

You may want to look into the Surge. I weight train, so to cycle classes, hike, walk, run, and use my rebounder, so for me the Surge is a great options. I am able to add my spin time if I go to a class, I can add miles if I'm riding outside, and I have the GPS function for runds, hikes and walks. I also love that I have the abiltiy to track my heart rate and have a continuious screen that has the abiltiy to track steps, heart rate, and calories. Having the heart rate fuction has really motivated my to increase the intensity of my workouts at the gym and even while using my rebounder.

As a bike commuter, I prefer the One because it stays in my pocket and records steps when I'm riding. Wrist based trackers don't record steps as well when riding a bike. I am also motivated to ride hills because it counts floors.

Getting accurate calorie counts for non-step based activities such as weight lifting and bike rides requires adding the activity manually, but if you keep the tracker on 24/7 it will track some steps no matter what you do.

You may want to look into the Surge, or the Charge HR at the very least.  Aside from its primary purpose of tracking steps, the Surge can be programmed for multiple sport activities including cardio, cycling, weight training.
