Why do I get WiFi symbol with X, and no sync? NO changes to router!!!!

ANSWERED

Weighed myself yesterday and today. Accurately measured wt and BF. But refused to sync. Got the WiFi symbol with an X.

No changes to router, home network, etc.

Last sync, March 7th. Battery still high.

Version 35   I don't know when that changed as it was version 31 when I set it up.

Fitbit - please do not ask or tell me to Set the Scale up again. Took two months to do that. You've got (or so I thought) a great product here. But if it cannot sync without issues, I might as well go back to pencil and paper.

Accepted Solutions

After reading all the different "solutions," here is what I did just a little bit ago.

Since nothing had changed network or router wise, I went to my router and turned the router off for ten seconds. Then turned it back on.

I checked on a wireless laptop to verify the network was back up and at least one device had reacquired the network and successfully signed on automatically.

Went and stood on the scale. It weighed me, sighed just a little at the load it has to bear, then successfully synced to the network.

Works now. Just fine.

Down side, it missed all the lower measurements from Saturday and Sunday and shows a weight gain. Oh well.

It is possible something was wrong at the Fitbit site, but all of my other connections (phone, web browser, etc.) were not having a problem with the site. I believe it was something internal to the router (full routing table or something like that). Bottom line. Working fine now.

Thanks.

Preston

That just happened to me too, as just about the time of your post..  Looks like it was a problem with the internet or the fitbit site, as I'm back working (with no changes)
