Why does the app not let you add 0.5lb increments?

Does anyone else find it frustrating that there is no option to add 0.5lb increments in the app, when entering your weight.

If I lose, say, 1.5lb the app will only allow me to decrease my weight by whole pounds.

The only way I can get it to log 0.5lb is to enter my weight into my fitness pal & it will come up in fitbit.

Is it just my phone (Samsung) or is it all phones that do this please?

Hi @Copterchick,

It's a limitation of the app, not your phone. A loss of .5 pound is only a half percent loss, if you're 100 pounds, which isn't significant in the long term. Our weight tends to fluctuate more than that daily just due to water weight.

If you haven't looked into it, I would recommend using Trendweight, which gives great long-term charting that smooths out the bumps in the weight graph. Other than that, you may want to add a suggestion for .5 pound increments at the link below. Hope this helps.

It may be a limitation of the android app.  I seem to be able to enter weight values to one decimal point on my iPhone and in computer browser.  If that's the case, making a suggestion that the android app allow for the same functionality is a good idea, as @WavyDavey suggests.

In the meantime you can enter your weight on the computer, or continue doing as you have and enter it in MFP.
