Hi,
I'm new to fitbit. I've been wearing it for a week and my question is: How can I get the most accurate tracking? Would I get a more effective and true tracking from wearing it on my wrist, waist or bra? Thanks in advance for any replies.

@overweightloverThis link gives further links to each Fitbit and their wearing positions. Keep in mind the Fitbit algorithms for filtering of movements have been programmed to get us the best results. I have found waist mounting for the One, Ultra and Classic were spot on with step accuracy. What you need to be careful off is wearing the Fitbit as not recommended, for example on the ankle. I tested and proved the Ultra, Classic and the One had double the calories if worn clipped to your sox. The steps were accurate.

I clip mine to my panties. It is on 24/7. I take it off to charge it and obviously when I'm in the shower. You should also work to find out your stride length. That will help make it more accurate.

I'm a newbie too - only had mine for a week. I've tried 2 places. I put in my pocket, but I'm afraid I'll lose it. I now clip in on my bra - right in the middle in the front. May sound weird, but it works for me 🙂

I think that clipped onto the bra is recommended, followed by clipped to the inside of a front pocket. I don't think the One is intended to be worn on the wrist, at least not using the sleep wristband, although perhaps with another wristband.
I prefer wearing it on my bra, but in the house I often wear it in the pocket of my pyjamas, and this seems to work pretty accurately! I think that as long as you are wearing it in one of the ways Fitbit recommends for your device, and tend to wear it in the same way routinely, you should get accurate counts that can be meaningfully compared.

If you have a one, ultra or zip--either waist or bra. But not the wrist--that would likely cause inflated readings.

I clip mine on my bra. I find its the most accurate for me.

Yes, I have found my readings higher when worn on the wrist.

I clip my One on a belt loop with jeans, and on the inside of a shirt pocket at work. I tried it on my bra, but then you can't see your progress, and I'm the type to get up just to reach the next thousand. (OCD, anyone?)
Mine has been very accurate in both locations. Yes, I also count off those "rounding up" steps.
