Yoga Ball Instead of Desk Chair at work?

ANSWERED

Hi everyone!  Just wondering if anyone uses a yoga ball at work instead of a desk chair?  Seems like it might have some advantages core wise.  I sit at my desk 8 hours a day and any advantage I can give myself would be good.  I do get up and walk around every hour or so.

Thanks for any input or tips you might have on this.

I literally just got mine for my desk! I love it! Great for posture, keeps me more focused/ productive, I don't shrug my shoulders up (problem I have with traps),and subconsciously keeps me more on track with my fitness goals. I'm less likely to partake in the cupcakes in the breakroom when I'm getting up off of my yoga ball, right? I'm sure some of it's mental, but it works for me.

My recommendation, though, if you don't mind: don't just get a yoga ball. Get an anti-burstable balance/ core ball with either stability legs or a base that you can set the ball in. The chairs are spendy and the stability legs will make it easier to store your ball when not in use. The anti-burstable is obvious. Albeit, it would be funny if there was an accident in the office. 😉

Thanks so much!  I am going to get one.  Thank you for the stabilization, anti-bust tip!  Will look for that kind for sure.
