Hi All,
This is my very first topic on here, and I hope am posting this in the right place; if not; I hope the moderators will be kind enough to move it as appropriate.
It's sad when I read post (mostly on reddit) about people trying to "loose weight". The thing is; I have read this countless number of time; and while some people get to loose the weight and stick to it for years, some just get to loose the weight for few months and the pounds begins to add later on.
I think it's the mindset that matters in this situation. If you're doing it mainly because you feel like being skinny is the norm for this generation; then you;re doing it for the wrong reason.
If you're doing it because you consider it a healthy choice; then you're on the right track.
Weight loosing effort should be seen as a lifetime choice of choosing to live a healthier life, and as such it "loosing weight" should not be the central idea; but rather a secondary benefit that comes with living healthy.
If you really want this to work out; first you need to understand that you're not doing it for "shape" and "cloth" sake; but rather you're doing it because you want to breath normally; because you want your heart to function well, because you want to be able to use the stairs without panting, because you want to look in the mirror and be rest assured that you're not prone to some strange disease or heart attack because of obesity.
I hope somebody out there would really think about why they're doing this and put more effort on living healthy rather than loosing weight.
Kind Regards
James.

The body finds it's natural weight range itself when exercising for fun, making the most healthy choices when hungry and stop when feeling comfortably satisfied. Eating to nourish, not eat out of boredom or loneliness.. (can be tricky sometimes)..
When exercising, our bodies compensate by being more hungry,.. that's a battle we can't win, even when logging calories, the real calories eaten can be less or more, but our bodies know the best if still needing a bit more and when needing more, giving signals by increasing appetite.. eventually giving in..
Our bodies guide where it wants to be when listening to mostly, think about when hungry (what we eat is what we become), eating natural foods mostly when desired, having a little treat once in a while wouldn't hurt.. though by eating the foods nature provided automatically cutting back on calories since making feeling satisfied for longer on lower calories in general..
It's about changing food habits, making better choices, though not restricting when wanting to have that little treat (piece of cake, special dessert..)..
Enjoy

All good points to keep in mind. Improving your overall health is key. The other stuff are added perks. Thanks for posting.
