Hello! My name's Hannah, and I'm a uni student from England. I also have 85lb to lose. A majority of other users I see making threads on here are much older than me, and I feel like some of the things I struggle with - such as peer pressure to drink, loads of anxiety relating to working out in front of others, and so on - are disconnected to their problems. Because of this, I was hoping to meet other young users on here, preferably with a lot of weight to lose, like me! I can't be the only teen on Fitbit, can I?

Hello and welcome to the forums @Ratter
Yes, there are quite a lot of teens and university students on the forums and some have posted - click to read this thread
Look at the groups for people your age, too. Click to search for a group
You'll find a few who have the same goals as yourself.
Happy stepping and let us know how things work out for you.

Hey there!
I am university age (21, would be starting my senior year of college) but I quit school and now work full-time for my family's business. I can't quite relate to the peer pressure anymore but I can relate to being young and learning how to nourish and take care of my body!
I've been using Fitbit for almost two months now and have loved every minute of it. So far I've lost over 15 lbs and have learned a lot! I have 20 more lbs to lose before I hit my first weight goal. Perhaps I'll look to lose more after but in 20 lbs I'll be at the high end of a "normal" weight for the first time ever. Who knows, maybe I'll lose another 20 after that. Just taking some baby steps.
As far as anxiety about working out infront of others, I don't do it either. I prefer at-home work outs. I LOVE yoga. Since I quit college I have been pretty sedentary but Fitbit has helped me get motivated. I go on walks (I don't run yet, my run looks like a flailing bird) and do Yoga at home. I also love work out videos. My favorite of all time is Shaun T's Hip Hop Abs. When I was still in college I actually did this work out in my dorm room or the "gym" down in the basement of my dorm (it was just an empty room that required a key so I could guarantee I was alone).
Anyways, welcome to the Forums!

Thank you for the advice of where to find other people!
That's amazing, I'm a total yoga junkie, too! And I've been meaning to try Hip Hop Abs. Have you tried Insanity before? I've given it a go a few times but never got past month one. Is Hip Hop Abs any better, do you know? Also, have you done anything by Yoga with Adrienne?

I have not tried Insanity but I believe that Hip Hop Abs (from what I heard) is easier. And it's pretty fun. YOGA WITH ADRIENE!!!!!!!!! It's the only channel I use. I love her so much. I'm still working on the 30 days of Yoga, I'm about half way through but have taken a huge break because work has been pretty demanding since we had to let somebody go.

Hello everyone. I have found this thread where the youngest Fitbit crew has reunited. @Ratter You might want to take a look at it.

Hi Hannah, I'm 23 but I definitely dealt with (and still deal with) the types of things you mentioned, especially anxiety working out in front of other people. I did Insanity and I loved it. Hip Hop Abs is easier, but it could be a good starting point (I don't know quite how fit you are). I added you as a friend, send me a message if you want to talk about Insanity or working out in general!
