I have been working at loosing weight. Are dry roast peanuts good on a diet.

Caloricly dense but good for you in moderation.

nuts are a real strong food for intake control/weightloss but peanuts are on the upper-end of the calorie scale. Almonds are on the other end, low cal cost so you can eat a bunch without fretting and they're a good source of protein. Peanuts are a bit more fatty. Not bad, but you can't binge on these.

peanuts wouldn't be my first choice for a snack, or second, or 200th - they aren't nuts, they are beans, they are too caloric, too fatty, the portion is way too small. There are so many other things I could think of that would give more bang for the buck, make you feel fuller, give you more to munch on, have more nutrition, whatever.
