No. There's no any connection between drinking coffee and loosing weight, for example.
But , lots of fat burners which are used by bodybuilders, people doing fitness or trying to loose weight faster than working out in a gym contain caffeine. Here is one just for example http://drenastim.com/product-information/

Every "body" is different. I enjoy coffee.
Regarding weight loss, the important thing is to minimize calorie intake so a latte' or monster drink isn't a good idea compared to black coffee. Caffeine definitely does not erase calories in 😉 Balance that fact with anything that helps get you up and moving is indeed a help. No magic pill, keep moving, your heart is the most important muscle in your body and you need it, literally, your whole life. Even and steady wins that most important of races.

@MateoD: here is the hierarchy of the main factors that affect weight loss / body composition:
- adherence to the diet approach you have chosen
- calorie balance: you MUST be in a caloric deficit in order to lose weight
- macronutrients (eat adequate amounts of protein, carbs and fats)
- nutrient timing (e.g. number and frequency of meals)
- food composition (e.g. minimally vs. highly processed)
- supplements
Caffeine (whether coming from regular coffee or from a "fat burner" supplement) would fit in the last category, the least important. It can have some positive impact: it is a stimulant and may therefore cause you to be move more than you would otherwise; it can also suppress appetite, causing you to eat less than you would otherwise. However, it’s perfectly possible to create the caloric deficit you need without caffeine or any other stimulant / appetite suppressor. Whether or not you decide to take caffeine, you must have the more important factors dialed in first.

Sure, it helps. The simplest example: when you get caffeine, you increase your energy, you train more and burn more calories. Less calories = less weight.

Not when I get 3 or 4 donuts with a cup of coffee.

Caffeine is a thermogenic, so yes, it can help you lose weight assuming you are doing everything else right.

If you take two identical persons who are trying to lose weight, they eat the same, exercise the same etc. and the only difference is one takes caffeine and the other doesn’t, the extra weight loss achieved by the one who takes caffeine will likely be insignificant. In other words, taking caffeine by itself won’t cause any meaningful weight loss. The weight loss will have to come from more important factors (the most important one being an adequate caloric deficit). If you are in a caloric surplus, you can take all the caffeine you want, but you won’t lose weight.

I understand your point of view. Just heard in a television show that caffeine can help in weight loss. It seems to be a myth.

It can help, for the reasons I mentioned earlier (it’s both a stimulant and an appetite suppressor), but the impact will be very limited. It’s not a "magic pill" you can take while sitting on your couch that will trigger a crazy weight loss all by itself. There are no magic pills for weight loss. The main driver of weight loss is a caloric deficit. If you don’t get that right, you can forget about all the rest.
