dashboard entry for calories to burn for the day?

I dont understand what number of calories you should be using in the calories burned settings bc I would think if I want to lose weight 1. my body burns 1580 calories ina normal do nothing day according to BMR. Then I eat 1500 calories a day and I want to lose a pound a week. I weight 198 lbs currently. I have cut back my calorie intake to help with the weight loss and I train 3 times a week which will increase my calorie burn. But the set up is confuses me. HELP

@MarciM -- you are so gracious and kind-hearted that I hate to say this, but the last time this guy even visited this Community was 4 years ago.  So if we want want to communicate with him, we'll need to hire a medium and conduct a seance.  🙂
