Puneet I know how you feel, I bought myself the force gadget last saturday, and the aria scale and by copying everything to the website and mobile app so far I am 2 pounds down. Ya gotta start somewhere! And so far this thing has shown me that as long as I'm moving, I'm losing -- in a good way

Walking in place can easily get your heart rate up especially if someone is just starting out on an exercise program. Don't discount small steps towards becoming active. Sure, it might not burn as many calories as running but it is buring calories and it DOES raise your heart rate.
If its a waste of energy its using energy...

I just recently got a Fitbit Flex and I am finding it is not counting the steps in place. I also do the Leslie Sansone walking DVDs, and I do some of the exercises without the DVDs. Just did 15 minutes of moderate-pace walking in place and my Fitbit only registered 55 steps and 0 active miutes. What am I doing wrong?

you should check the settings of the flex, Wear it on the doinant hand, refer to sensitivity setting. Saying so you should also do a walking test with the fitbit, do a walk for 100 steps and see what flex has noted, do it a few times and average it.
it its not close then flex has a problem else you might want to change the workout video or take an average of the steps you put into the video and maually update it
Leslie Sansone videos usually give me 5000 steps per hour, i usually do it light and more for getting some extra steps
