I have already been using the fitbit charge for over a month. I started off with the basic recomended 10000 steps and am now getting to an average of 15000 steps. i've limited my intake of food to approximately 1500 to 1800 calories daily, and burn an average of 3000 calories or above, yet, over all this time im becoming extremely depressed because that all the work that i've put in shows absolutel nooooo results, what soooo ever. i have not lost one single kilo. can someone plz tell my y?
there's also another problem that has occured, today i decided to use the gps and walked 6km in an hour and already stepped 16000 steps. y does the calories burned seemed to be lower than 15000 steps. Is it broken?

Did your body fat percentage decreased?
By getting more active, muscles become stronger and grow while body fat percentage could have decreased.
There could be no weight loss at all since the weight loss of body fat can have been compensated with a increase of getting stronger muscles.
Having a to large deficit can lead that the metabolism goes slower than normally and the body trying to prevent weight loss, also the body can use muscles as energy when there's a shortage of food (when the deficit is to large). Try using a smaller deficit to counter this (-500 deficit), this also makes it more likely that the weight loss comes from body fat rather than muscles.. it's possible to get to a lower weight with the same body fat as before or even more and weight loss did come mostly from muscles instead.
This can lead to being at a healthy weight, but not looking leaner. Decreasing the body fat percentage is the goal rather than weight in itself which can be anything (water loss? muscle loss? fat loss).
Eat protein (eggs, cheese, yoghurt, lean meat such as chicken, fish..).. this is used to repair muscles and make more likely weight loss will come from body fat rather than muscles.
It's also possible that the body is at it's happiest weight range, and any further attempts to loose more weight is prevented by the body to ensure survival.
Are you at a healthy weight? Body fat percentage?
Trying to incorporate changes in food habits if this is the case like for example eating more natural unprocessed, non prepackaged food such as banana's, apples.. or regardless what the food plan says, when not feeling hungry / not stuffed but satisfied, try not to eat more (even if it's allowed to eat x hundred calories more according to the food plan).

Yuuki, when you say you limit your food intake to approximately 1500 to 1800 calories daily, the word "approximately" jumps out at me as a possible red flag. You may wish to consider be really rigorous and exact about weighing and logging every gram you eat. At least that's one approach that works for a lot of people. It's really easy to underestimate the number of caloriies in food if you are simply estimimating and eyeballing things. Also, make sure you are getting your calories in a healthy, balanced way. Hang in there. Long lasting change takes time.

Just sending some empathy. I know the feeling. You are probably stronger, healthier and carrying more muscle which I believe is heavier than fat. I'm also at a plateau and dancing & walking & lifting light weights & stretching. This weighing every day is frustrating as it seems impossible to burn so much energy, eat so carefully and clean and not lose more belly fat. How can that be scientifically? I don't understand it but I'm try to give less power to the scale and keep at the program.
I just realized it has been 4 weeks since you posted about your meltdown. Did it change for the better for you?
All the best,
Barbara

1 pound of muscles equals to 1 pound of fat. A pound of muscles is not heavier than a pound of fat. Fat only occupies more space for the same amount.

Stefan
I didn't mean 1 lb of muscle weighs more than 1 lb of fat. A lb is a lb, of course. You misunderstood.
The photo shows that fat takes up more space so the fat is lighter by sq. inches. Muscle is more dense and burns most of the energy. Move those muscles, build more muscle, burn more fat..
Good luck to all the fitbitters getting leaner and healthier

Hello,
Wouldn't it be great if they would allow us to track our inches again? Please Vote!

@StrongerEachDay I can still track my measurements? On your dashboard it's under the weight tab, at the very bottom of the page underneath where you log your weight "Track other measurements" You can log all your body measurements and see the graph over time.
