Hi
It would help to know what you normally eat. Are you just trying to get healthier or do you want to lose weight? Your calorie needs depend on your height and weight and how much you need to lose. Fitbit and/or my fitness pal can help with that too. If you want specific food plan you can message me. I used to work in a medical weight loss clinic(one with no drugs, phen-phen etc. only nutrition based.) Personally I know what to eat, just have trouble following my own advice 🙂

If you really want to come up with a good sustainable diet you should take a week or two of normal eating and log everything you have to eat. From that, develop a diet for yourself that incorporates some of the foods you enjoy to eat with some new entries to lower your the intake of your problematic areas (sugar, carbs, calories overall, fat, sodium, etc).
If you try to create a diet for yourself that doesn't take into account your normal eating habits, you are going to be more likely to abandon the diet when you get a taste of something you really enjoy, like a hamburger or ice cream or other typical non-diet foods.
Eat your hamburger, but use better quality lean meat and instead of eating fries with it try eating some veggies. You can't have a hamburger every day, but if you aren't enjoying your meals a little bit, you are going to burn out.
