I have read that green tea helps with burning fat and weight loss. Starting yesterday, I have decided to drink a quart of iced green tea every day (should also be refreshing in this California summer heat!) to help burn some of my belly fat. Anyone find green tea helpful? Thanks.

You would have to drink a "truckload" to reach the amount found to cause effects. Better get a few more quart containers.

And more recent research with actual humans has shown not the same effect as mice, probably because we aren't mice.

But if it helps you feel full and adhere to diet, then there's the benefit to you for weight loss, besides the other benefits.

I would say it HELPS with weight loss, but it's not gonna do the work for you. A balanced diet and enough exercise comes first, green tea is just a small benefit to the weight loss process.

Drinking a lot of green tea throughout the day will keep you hydrated and stop your body from confusing thirst with hunger, and if you drink a large glass before dinner will make you feel full more quickly. But, that aside, green tea won't counteract eating too many calories!
