Hi , I bought some very expensive green coffee bean tea and pills, it had other stuff like combia and white kidney bean it was like 200.00 i also tryed pure coffie bean, i just have to say i have alot of weight to loose, and while i did not have any problems with it, and it may have helped with engergy a bit, ( maybe) i did not see any difference from when i was not taking it, i tryed several things, first several months on it, following directions, and excercizing eating good, then went off and saw no differance some things can be worth a try but i personally would not buy it again. but i guess everyone has different bodys so try it if it motivates you but don't expect any magic!!!

I think this is what it is: a fad, or possibly a scam. No one will lose tens of pounds by solely eating green coffee beans (or any other miracle food or pills, for that matter).

Green coffee beans contain a substance called chlorogenic acid (its destroyed when green beans are roasted to remove the bitter taste). In principle chlorogenic acid stops enzymes in the body from making 'fat'. So, assuming it worked as advertised it would be more useful in preventing weight gain, rather than weight loss. The 'scientific studies' carried out - as far as I can tell - on weight control have been carried out on small numbers of people (~30) and under industry influence. So, not impartial, repeated double-blind studies -- the gold standard for determining the true consequences of taking a drug/supplement.
So.....basically its no better or worse than most supplements that carry big claims for weight loss, etc.

If there was something you could simply pay for and take to lose weight and cancel out all the hard work, it would be flying off the shelves... the obseity epidemic would be cured and you wouldn't buy it through some unknown company, the pharmaseutical industry would own it.

My Dr tells me not to use Green coffee bean, rasberry extracts, that new Cambodian fruit, any of that stuff. Best bet is to get in w a nutritionist. Don't ignore any food group, but portion control and whole foods rather than package mixes or premade meals. I woundn't waste your money on pills, I would spend your money on good wholesome foods for weight reduction.

I gave up on all magic elixirs and fads long ago. Some of them worked, some of them didn't, but the second I stopped using whatever -- liquid protein, Atkins, whatever -- I just gained the weight back, and it brought friends. For long term weight loss, a well balanced diet -- lower calorie -- and exercise are the only true 'miracle' cures. Talk to a nutritionist, and learn how to eat for a lifetime, not for a little while. I gained and lost at least two people in my lifetime, but this approach has been the only thing that kept working.
