I love that fitbit gets me active... but as a consequence it also means I get hungry.. and hungry fast.. once I get too hungry, the snack monster takes over.
I have been trying a little experiment:
Every morning, I have been eating 1/4 cup of Museli (http://www.bobsredmill.com/old-country-style-muesli.html) and a sliced banana..
I also hit it with some cinnamon and a little vanilla extract... it does help.
There are so many fads out there.. to eat grains or not, to cut out breads, flours, etc...
But I find, that this breakfast keeps me full, despite being low calorie.
What are you eating for breakfast that seems to work for you?

My go-to breakfast is 20 oz. coffee with 2 tablespoons of heavy whipping cream. I sautee a bunch of veggies, usually whatever is in my fridge, but generally spinach, zucchini, muchrooms, onions and garlic in either olive oil or coconut oil. Then I fry up 2 eggs and throw them on top of the sauteed veggies. Sometimes I'll have bacon or sausage with breakfast, in which case I cook the eggs in the leftover bacon grease.
This breakfast keeps me full for HOURS. And it's a great balance of protein, fat and carbs. I find that cereals (or any type of grains) and fruits wreak havoc with my insulin levels, and I become ravenously hungry soon after eating them.

My breakfast and my favorite thing to have every morning is a protein shake that consists of 8 oz of skim milk, 1/4 c old fashioned oats, a scoop of vanilla protein powder, a tsp of almond butter, 1/2 of a banana and/or a few strawberries! It keeps me feeling full for a while! 🙂

My fav breakfasts are my Shakeology meal replacement shake with a banana or a cup of fruit and almond milk, depending on the flavor, OR 1/2c cottage cheese with 1/2c mixed berries or a peach cup with 1/3 cup of All Bran buds, great mix of protein and fiber! Both keep me full for about 4hrs.

I prefer protein in the morning and hot food is even better. I like eggs. My other option is protein shake. I use almond milk and I add grounded flaxseed for the fiber and it adds a thickness to my shake that I like.
Recently, I discovered that the earlier I eat, the better. When I eat late morning, I graze. I like fruit mid morning and after lunch. After dinner, too.

Every morning for as long as I can remember I've been eating oatmeal (quick cooks in 1.5 minutes in the microwave) to that I add a teaspoon of cinnamon, teaspoon of honey, tablespoon of ground flax, and a tablespoon of flax seed then either a banana cut up or some fresh strawberries cut up. You get a lot of fiber and it keeps me full until snack time around 10.

I like to eat fine oats mixed with water for breakfast. I don't know if you are trying to lose weight, but it's only 115kcal with water and it makes me feel so full up! I have stevia and cinnamon with it, and leave out the fruit so I can have it as a snack later on. I eat 3 fruits before lunch (try at least 1 high-fibre like orange, apple). I don't have to eat lunch until 2-3pm this way.
