I'm going to move this from the Fitbit Force forum to the Weight Loss forum for some better exposure to your question.
Generally speaking, it isn't a matter of "how much do I have to walk" - you could walk all you want, but if you're eating more calories than you burn, you won't lose weight. You need to eat less calories than you burn in order to lose weight.
Have you set up a fitbit food plan to help you monitor your intake vs burn?

log your calories consumed for a few days and your fitbit will calculate the amount you burn per day with your normal activity and it will give you exactly how much you need to walk to lose, or you might decide to change your calories up as well and lose faster, it is up to you.

You burn about 100 calories per mile walked. 50 lbs of weight loss equates to 50 x 3,500 calories or -175,000 calories.
In which case, to loose 50lbs in ~3 months (100 days) means a deficiet of 1750 calories a day. To achieve this -- just by walking -- equates to 17.5 miles a day (if my math is correct).

First at your size, 50lbs by May would not be advisable. You should seek medical advise if you really are determined to drop that much in that short a period of time. It could cause you more health problems than you would ever solve by dropping the weight. That is greater than 10lbs a month and unless you have over 100lbs to lose it really isn't a good idea to be at that type of deficit for very long.
That being said. As was mentioned before it is about your calorie deficit. Assuming you were eating exactly at maintenance, then he response that was already given of 17.5 miles per day is probably fairly accurate. But if you combined the walking with eating less food then you could cut your numbers dramatically. For every 100 calories you don't eat you drop another mile off the list. Again 1750 calorie deficit for someone your size is way too much per day unless you are under medical supervision and being advised to do it. Think of it this way, if you were required to consume 2000 calories a day to maintain your current size, this would be like eating 350 calories a day. General advise is to never net below 1200 calories in a day. Net calories are calories you consume minus exercise calories. So if you do 1000 calories worth of exercise and you eat 2200 calories your net is 1200 calories.
