Everything I read says to lose weight safely is at a rate of 1-2 lbs a week....sometimes I think folks lose a little more at first, but going to extremes in diet to lose at such a rapid rate as you are asking is never a good nor healthy thing.  You would have to be pretty extreme if that is even possible for you....Whatever you do, please be safe and smart. 😉  Good luck.

I have to agree with MaggieMae.  You can average about 2 pounds a week, so that is about 12 pounds.  Probably 15 at the most (safely).  You don't want to make yourself sick, before going on your trip.  My advice to you is to WALK!  Strap on your fitbit and walk!  When you get up in the morning, go for a walk.  On your lunch, go for a walk.  After dinner? go for a walk.  Take the stairs instead of the elevator.  Park at the opposite end of the parking lot.  If you take public transit, get off a couple stops before your normal one and walk the rest of the way.  Cut out the junk food and track your calories.  Write down everything you eat and drink (and highlight the bad foods - that way you can see the error of your ways at a glance) Don't deprive yourself, but don't be stupid either.  All it takes is 4 bites to satisfy a craving.  I carry a Fibre One Brownie with me for when I get a craving for chocolate.  I love the 100 calorie snacks.  They are portion controlled and they satisfy my craving.  Good luck and be safe!
