looking for friends - 50s and female and getting fabulous!

Hi!  I'm looking for some friends for motivation and support.  I'm 51, female, and working on losing 30 lbs.  My A1c is pre-diabetic so I'm shedding some weight to try and get it under control.

Anyone?

Aquiring this Fitbit charge HR was an excellent purchase. I continue to work towards my daily goals. Today i hiked 28,000 steps and close to 12 miles. It was Awesome! If my weight would lower it would be great! 😍 The point Keep going and never give up!

shp4fun~Wow 28,000 steps!  You were 2,000 off from a badge at 30,000 steps!  You're off to an awesome start!   You're right it's about not quitting and to keep on going on!  Congratulations on your new Fitbit!

I have been uysing my Fitbit Flex for about 5 weeks. I absolutely love it, I am trying not to get too caught up in the step numbers , as I often see others with huge mind blowing numbers like   to me anything above 20,000. I have only managed to go over 10000 twice. I average about 8000. But I have become 100% more accountable in food choices and  calories. I have lost almost 10 lbs since I began.  I love the daily challenges and the Facebook links and pages.  Fun to see others tips and ideas. Happy to add myself to this group. I am 58 and a RN , I work nightshifts and I also use app Mapmy walk on my cell to watch the activity.

Hello, all! I am 56 and have been using my fitbit charge for a couple months and I love it. I have about 25 pounds to lose and have been at a plateau for a few months. I was using the Jawbone UP before this and love the phone app for this so much more. I just need to keep moving more. I need some friends to keep me motivated. I run very slowly and walk at the gym when I can't get to the park. I need to move more daily, not three days a week. The days I volunteer from 9 am to 4 pm are the worst for fitting anything in. I welcome some friends who can help me and I will do the same!

If you are here on the forum and want to friend someone tap on their name in the post then when it opens the next window tap on the about near the bottom. That will open another page and on the bottom of that one there is a go to fit bit. Com profile link. When you click on that it will bring you to their profile page. On that one of has an add friend button. I hope that helps ☺

Thank you, Barbara! I appreciate your help in navigating friendships on fitbit😊. Just knowing I am connected to others on here made me get a couple miles in tonight, so I could hit my 10,000, something I generally don't get done the days I volunteer from 9 to 4 p. My dogs enjoyed the mile walk 🐾 and I enjoyed the mile run.

I have had my fitbit since february 21 and i try to keep up withall my
goals. Yesterday was a Great day. I hiked 12 miles and close to 28,0000
steps. I was so tired after, but i really enjoy being able to track all
that i do each day.

You can do it too. Set small goals and work at them every day.😍
Welcome!

Hi--
Got your post about adding friends. I just hit the reply on the post. I
hope its working.
I love reading everyones suggestions.
I too would love to drop 30 pounds.
I am 54 and i walk, or hike daily and have increased my daily goal to 12000
steps a day? Im not sure if this will help, but am hopeful.
I hope you get this?

Keep moving and remember to check your fit often each day...
Let me know how you are doing and any suggestions you have...😄
