Hi! I'm looking for some friends for motivation and support. I'm 51, female, and working on losing 30 lbs. My A1c is pre-diabetic so I'm shedding some weight to try and get it under control.
Anyone?

You got to have the right items always ready at any time in case you get hungry. For example, I carry the Butterball Turkey Sticks in my bag or the Slim Jim Snacks for quick protein. For sweets, I keep the Special K Fiber One Snacks for 70 calories, 60 calories pop snacks, or the little cakes. I try to stay under 100 calories for these snacks. I like the Stevia Natural Drink Powder Mixes that they sell at Walmart. I use the Peach Mango Flavor. To add more Flavor to my foods I use the Kettle Seasonings. Just a few minuets ago I used the Garlic Parmissean on my Health Choice Country Fried Chicken Dinner. I also use the Buttery Spray that you find at Kroger in the popcorn section. Don't get it confused with cooking spray!! You need to have a scale, measuring cups, and spoons. It all reallystarts in your mind. While everyone else is eating Greasy Popeye's Chicken, you are eating the Healthy Choice Fried Chicken. While they eat Pizza Hut, you are eating Lean Cuisin Pizza. Plan ahead for days when you know that certain meals are going to be served. I am assuming that you have a family. They are not on diet, and so don't expect them to change what they eat to accomadate your needs. You have to do the accomadation and learn to figure it out on your own. Today we went to a Mexica Restaurat for lunch. I only had a Crispy Chicken Taco with Cheese. It had about 250 calories. I ate no tortilla chips.

That idea of a Diet Root Beer Float sounds so awesome. Are you adding the Smart One's Brownie Sundae as your Ice Cream? I did that one time. It was awesome.!!!

Hi! Almost 50 and struggling this year! Had to take a 6 month break from running and working out to allow hip bursitis to heal during which I gained a few pounds and lost most of my muscle tone. Finding it hard to get my head back into a clean eating and workout routine!

Hi, I'm 47, also working on losing 30 lbs, and pre-diabetic. My biggest hurdle is motivation to exercise, and would love some support to get my arse in motion. Happy to take some first steps with you 🙂

Hi - I am 56 and have had my fitbit for about two months. I have severe osteoporosis so exercise is important. Tracking my activity and calorie is very helpful but I just can't loose weight - need ideas -

For the first time in decades I have been successful in losing weight. 31 lbs. since September!! I have found that it is a combination of diet and exercise. For me, neither one alone gave me any results, and I had to stick to it every day. I hated exercise and my fitbit gave me the motivation I need and the challenges bought out my competitive nature I never knew I had! I am 58 and haven't weighed this since I was in my 30's.
The best of luck to you!
