Hi! I'm looking for some friends for motivation and support. I'm 51, female, and working on losing 30 lbs. My A1c is pre-diabetic so I'm shedding some weight to try and get it under control.
Anyone?

Hi Annie, I'm a bit older (62)and my problem is high cholesterol. And that also can be helped by exercise. I'm trying to do 10K a day and more on Saturdays. I live in Reno, NV and so I don't have the weather problem. We are in the 4th year of drought so I hardly ever have to walk in the rain! I have lost 24 lbs and want to lose another 25 or 30. I was trying to lose the weight to do a triathlon but I will have to do it with some extra weight.

Funny. I did the same thing trying to find friends and then he kept messaging me asking if I was single and for my phone number. I removed him as a friend.

Does this person live in the same city to all you ladies? It might be benificial to report him to Fitbit. And if he lives in the same city, I would report him to the police as a suspicious person.

You might concider checking in his city with the police or sherriffs. If he is doing that and is a known stalker they will want to know.

You could call in on secret witness in his town and give a report there.

I had a hard time in reducing my portion size too!!. It took weeks and weeks to get used to eating smaller amounts. But it is possible to do it. It just takes time, dedication, and effort, and some Crankiness along the way as your body makes it's adjustments. Good Luck!

I am 50 and I also am noticing that I cannot lose weight as fast I did ten years ago. I also seem to hit Plateau's. My weight loss will stop for up to 3 weeks at a time and then it starts to move. Just keep it real simple. Some advise- Count everything you eat, Excercise but don't overdo it, Shrink your portion sizes, get rid of the junk food and the sodas. Send me a Friend Request if you want.

I had the same problem with the Salty Snack issue. I did not want to eat any chips. But I solved my problem. So what I do is I toast a Nacho Flavored Taco Shell in the Toaster Oven. It is about 90 calories and it tastes real good.
