looking for friends - 50s and female and getting fabulous!

Hi!  I'm looking for some friends for motivation and support.  I'm 51, female, and working on losing 30 lbs.  My A1c is pre-diabetic so I'm shedding some weight to try and get it under control. 

 

Anyone?

I have been using my fitbit for about 18 months.  I havent lost a whole lot of weight due to NO thyroid but I have lost inches and made myself be healthier.  I have lost inches and instead of being flabby, I am kinda firm.  Hey I am not a spring chicken either (55)

I still am struggling. I try new things and then flop. Right now I have a hot chocolate at night. That seems to b helping. I would like to lose 25- 30 lbs.

Hi, sorry it took so long to get back to you.  I went on vacation and did not take my fitbit.  My bad.  I hope to get back to it soon.  I am also trying to track food, which I really do not like, but it does seem to make me think before I eat that second helping (or third, or fourth:)

How are you enjoying your fitbit now you've been wearing it for 20 days?

I've been decorating and so not worn mine. I'll be back with it today
though.

I have about 40 lbs to loose and so far managed 2lb 10 oz, I want to lose
weight slowly so it becomes an adjusted part of my day rather than shock
diet tactics which I have never managed to keep up. I've first of all been
drinking a glass of water on rising, before bed, and during lunch. I feel
the difference just this small change is making. I'm now adjusting to not
buying food with sugar added, which can be hard when short of time,
occasionally I have a real craving for something sweet and will have some
but it's becoming less and less now.

If you click on the persons name and then choose the about link followed by the go to the fitbit profile link it will bring you to their profile where you can use the add friend button 😊

I just started wearing it today again also.  I was on vacation and just didn't wear it.  It is definitely a habit I need to get into because just the act of wearing it makes me want to be more active, to compete with myself.  Weird.  Have a great week!

Would like to friend you. I'm going to be 52 in a few days. Put on weight because of health issues. Hard to move regularly. Could use a fit bit buddy too. 🙂

So I used to wiegh 265 and I went down to 163 that had me wearing a size 6. I kept it off for 5 years and then slowly in a course of about 1 year I went back up to 204. August 20, I am down to 187. The fit bit has helped me lose this. Let me know if you need help. It's hard but it can be done.
