I am a Caribou Coffee guy myself. Try looking for drinks at Starbuck's with fewer calories. I used to get a latte every morning at Caribou and was shocked to discover my 16oz latte had over 400 calories in it. I still treat myself but only once, sometimes twice per week, and I found a lower calorie option. Try a crafted beverage that doesn't have any milk in it. I now drink a medium cold press (cold brewed coffee) with half a pump of white chocolate. I get my sweet fix (and my caffeine) and my drink went from over 400 calories to around 150.

I won't get anything without reading the calorie guide first.. all the calories in those drinks- may as well eat pizza. so not worth it to me. I brew mine at home- I can control what goes in, how much and adjust calories as needed. cheaper too.

Excellent point!
Since I average one, on occasion two, trips per week now instead of at least once per day I was pretty disgusted with how much $$$ I was spending. I think for me it's more the social aspect of going to grab a coffee with someone. I was able to find a lower calorie option, but yeah some of those drinks ... yikes! Even worse than the drinks, the calorie content of their food (those breakfast and lunch sandwiches and the muffins) is insane.

Make your own. StarBucks it pretty spendy. I got on a kick and went every morning and it was like really 4$ everyday? I can buy there coffe in a bag for that amount.

Starbucks is now a no-no for me, either they are fat ladden, sugar ladden or horrible tasting coffee.
I'd rather invest in good coffee and tea rather than paying +/- $5 daily for a tiny cup. It saves a lot of money in the long run.

LOL! Starbucks was my first "omg I need to log first, then buy" experience. my favourite ginger molasses cookie (360 cal) and a grande latte (190 cal) was a bit of a shock.... 550 calories is more than most of my meals these days!

There are "skinny" versions of many of these drinks - made with Fat Free Milk too !
