Did you mean:

"Over Budget" even when I've burned more?

Hey! I recently started tracking my food and calories on my FitBit app, and currently, I have eaten less calories than I've burned, but my app says I'm still about 60-70 calories over my budget. I've eaten 1,318 worth of calories and burned 1,541 today. The number that I'm apparently over my budget with fluctuates. Is there a reason for this? Am I completely missing something totally obvious? Is anyone else having this problem?

Yes, missing something.

Fitbit tells you what you've burned - you found that number.

Fitbit tells you what you ate when you log it - you found that number.

But what did YOU tell Fitbit you wanted for a weight loss goal, what's the deficit from what you burn to what you eat?

Did you pick 250 for 1/2 lb weekly?

And yes, any day eating less than you burn is weight loss.

It's merely commenting on where your eating level is compared to goal you selected.
