the doctor says morbidly obese 121lbs of fat to loose

Went to the Dr today i started my weight loss after my uncle died of obesity complications and i decided i would like to live pass 57 ( I am 50) so date i have loss 37lbs. I started at 44% BF according to my Taylor scale today i was at 40.7% and the doctor had me at 41.2%BF so i have done good up to now. I started using a fitbit in July my mother bought and follwed the weight loss guide from there as far as calories.

Before that i was using a 1800 calorie diet and loosing about 7.5 pounds per month. Since changing to fit bit for 2 weeks i have not loss anything. So I figure 2100 calories is my maintance weight. Sunday i changed it back to 1800. I weigh all food going in and add 250 calories at the end of the day. So the question i pose is do i go back to fitbit or stay at 1800. I will make my charts public to see if you can all help me. The DR recomended Gastric Bypass but i dont think i need that.

Hi, Daniel,

First of all congratulations on making your decision to improve your health and then following through.  Your 37 pound weight loss has been at a healthy rate.  In looking at your charts, I noticed that over the past couple of weeks, it seemed that your overall activity level declined a bit, and that may have something to do with your stalling weight loss.  Another thing is that it is not uncommon in a weight loss program to stall for a week or two.    I think that what might be helpful is to gradually ramp up your "steps" every day & to make sure that you are eating real (as opposed to fast or processed) food.  You say that you have returned to 1800 calories/day (I am not sure what you meant by "adding 250 calories at the end of the day) and if you feel well on that, and are getting adequate protein and veggies, you can see if your weight loss goes back to the 1-2 pounds a week you were getting before.
