what is the best food/supplement to calm/curb food cravings?

When I get home from work... I tend to feel sooooo hungry I could just punch a wall. I get frustrated and generally just ignore the cravings, but it's almost constant.  Is there any kind of supplement or food that will fill that void feeling in my mind/tummy?

fat bombs are great if you're doing low carb, high fat.  if you're doing high carb, low fat, not so much.

 

1/2 C coconut oil

1/4 C unsweetened cacao powder

1 tsp vanilla

1 Tbsp heavy cream

splenda or other sweetener (to taste)

pinch of salt

 

melt coconut oil.  whisk in everything else until smooth.  pour into ice cube tray (silicone molds work even better), about 1 Tbsp per hole.  refridgerate until solid.  store in fridge.

That sounds amazing!  Thanks!  I've been tossing around the idea of doing low/no carb.  But there are a lot of carbs I just can't cut.  If I lived on my own I could, but living with Jeff, ... well... he wouldn't be too big on cutting out the carbs. My cousin Kevin lost 100 lbs in one year doing the keto diet.  He's been my biggest inspiration.  I'm quite proud of him.

you'd be surprised how easy it is to cut most carbs.  and, you don't have to do it in one fell swoop.  also, it's not possible to do NO carbs.  unless you're only going to be eating meat and no veggies, which i would not recommend.  i keep my carbs to 30g per day quite easily. sure, i can't eat everything i used to eat.  but, everything i used to eat got me to where i was 7.5 months ago (80 lbs heavier).

 

i would caution though, if you are eating a high carb low fat diet, the fat bombs may actually have a detrimental affect on weight loss.  instead, you could try some raw almonds or cashews.

My favorite thing to munch when I can't wait for dinner is popcorn.  I have a popper, so I don't add anything to it except Tobasco or sometimes nutritional yeast.  It is really low in calories and high in fiber and antioxidants.  Plus, if you're just buying the kernals it's really cheap.

People these days are all about the garcinia cambrosia. I personally have used dexatrim to great effect.

My weakness is hitting carbs. I am a carnivore, so I get some protein (beef stick, ect.)
Also I find that if I get some excercise in, I am less hungry.

Something I absolutely love for a snack is cottage cheese with some almonds. This definitely helps fill the stomach until I have time to actually make a meal. Or sometimes, it is the meal..depends..
