I weighed myself this morning and noticed that I gained some weight and body fat since yesterday. Not sure why this is happening. I'm exercising and eating within my proper calorie intake amounts. Is this just part of normal weight/ body fat fluctuations (I'm using my Aria scale daily)? Do these fluctuations have to do with sodium intake, hormones or other factors? I'm frustrated because I'm trying to break past the 140 pound mark and seem stuck here. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Don't worry about day to day variations...... weight can vary by a couple of lbs for any number of reasons.

Because scales are not accurate at measuring body fat.

Body fat measurements made using a scale vary due to lots of factors, including hydration levels which can change with sodium, hormones and other factors. If you exercised a lot and your feet are a tad swollen, this may make a difference. Even having wet feet can make a difference. Bottom line is don't pay attention to day-to-day changes, only longer term averages.

Excellent words of wisdom. I have been tracking for the past 2 weeks and although my weight and BMI changes daily, on average I have lost 1.7 pounds of body fat and gained .7 pounds of muscle, leaving a net weight loss of 1 pound. Nothing to write home about, but at least it is consistent and I'm not going the other way....
