Can't delete periods logged

I cannot delete periods after they have been entered. I accidentally added a second period cycle on days I did not have a period and I need to remove this. Also, the popups at the bottom are annoying.

Welcome on board @feedmemuzik, it's nice to see you here! Are you getting any error message when you try deleting your period? To delete a period:

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the female health tile.
  2. Tap a date on the calendar inside the period you want to delete.
  3. Tap the pencil icon.
  4. Tap Delete. Note that if you have predictions turned on, you’ll still see your predicted period. For more information, see Why do I see a period I already deleted in the Fitbit app?

If you have trouble adding or editing a period, see our troubleshooting tips.

Hope this helps, let me know the outcome!

In February I missed a period & I successfully deleted the whole thing as far as I can tell. I now missed one this month, but it makes me keep at least one day & that information is not accurate. How do I get rid of that one day totally?

Welcome on board @PAmountaingirlIf a period doesn’t meet the following requirements, you may receive an error and be unable to log the period:

  • You can only add or edit current or past periods and details.
  • A period must be at least 1 day.
  • You can log a period of up to 60 days (on Windows 10 devices, the maximum is 10 days). If your period is longer, consider logging flow intensity details.
  • A cycle must be at least 11 days, and there must be a gap of at least 1 day between logged periods. If you experience a gap in bleeding during your period, it’s still 1 period.

Note that If you attempt to log a period in the future or a period with less than a one-day gap between periods, the pencil icon is unavailable. If you don’t see the pencil icon, make sure the period you’re attempting to log or edit meets all of the requirements.

If you delete a confirmed period and you have predictions turned on, you’ll still see the predicted period for that cycle. For more information about the icons and colors on your female health tracking calendar, see How do I read the female health tracking calendar in the Fitbit app?

To turn off predicted periods, see How do I edit my female health settings?

Let me know if there's any questions present.

same here, FitBit Blaze with updated application,
As I synced my tracker with app I saw a notification saying 5 days till the end of period, which is not true,

and I can see that the app added my period just like that at some random day.
Now I cannot delete it, I can only shrink it in the calendar to 2 days and it is still there.

Hi, I was having the same issue and I figured out something that worked to delete extra periods. I turned off all the predicted period and ovulation notifications, deleted the female menstrual health tile, then added it back. Once I did that, the 'delete' button came back when I selected the periods (with the notifications still off). I was able to delete all of them, then re-add my actual period and it corrected my predictions.

It's definitely an app issue though. I shouldn't have had to do all of that just to fix my cycle tracking.

In my menstral card there are two tabs "calendar" and "trends"  1 it will not let me delete the most recent period which is in the past.  and 2 because I've tried to edit it so many times trying to get this fixed. There are like 10 logs showing in Trends for 1 day that need to be deleted and gone. PLEASE help me get this thing fixed.

These don't fix it for me. In edit mode only save or cancel comes up and no delete option

Have tried all these suggestions but simply unable to delet a past period. I have deleted others before when predictions were wrong but this particular entry will not offer the delete option even when I try all those things suggested

I can't even find a pencil icon. Have no idea what I'm doing wrong but I think I've followed the instructions. All I can seem to do is keep moving my "start" day to today. If I select delete. It moves the whole period date back to my predicted date.

No, I am not getting any error messages.  I do not see the pencil button or delete button - HELP PLEASE!!!

Best Answer

There is no pencil icon in the period tracker, that is the problem the developers have deleted the delete option making the tracker totally useless. The 'edit' option also does not edit an existing log, it just adds a new one over the top.

I gave up on the period portion of the app.  I went back to my trusty regular calendar.  My calendar has never failed me and surprise surprise I can edit the crap out of it; Even as I enter into perimenopause. I wanted to like the menstrual tracker but it is too buggy.

Best Answer

Same problem. Their period tracker isn’t designed for women going through perimenopause. I delete the period that I never had. It then asks me to confirm if the period prediction was accurate only gives me the choose to edit the period or save it. Get stuck in a loop that ultimately forces you to save a period that never happened.
