Female Health - Details on Symptoms, Conditions, and Fluids suggestion

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi!

I'm still not sure about a lot of information on periods. May I suggest an info area on the app explaining what certain fluids mean or what to expect with them? Because some of them I am very unsure of because I don't know what they mean.  And having this feature might help young women like me who are still slightly new to having a period. It would also be nice to have maybe some moods in there because moodiness is one of the ways my family knows I'm about to start my period. Along with a few more symptoms and conditions. For example, a lot of posts I saw requesting symptoms like bloating and loss of appetite.

Hey there @ZoZo-MagicCat @MadHatterHoff, thanks for stopping by! I'm glad to see new girls around the Female Health Tracking world! Woman Very Happy

Your ideas are great. I was making some research and was able to find these ideas asking for the same:

Please cast a vote for these ideas and leave a comment to show support for them. Since this is a newly launched feature, we're always interested in ways to improve the product! Thanks for your feedback.

For anything else you would like to see implemented in this feature for the future, consider visiting our Feature Suggestions board. Look under the label "Female Health Tracking" for existing ideas that might match your own and vote!

For what it's worth, I'm leaving some images that I think may be of help to you both:

The icon shown on the female health tile in the Fitbit app changes depending on where you are in your current cycle.

User-added image

From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the female health tile to see the calendar with your cycle information. The different colors on the calendar indicate various stages of your cycle. Tap or click a date to see the female health details you logged for that day and other information.

Note that the gray shading indicates a month, not a cycle.

Icon Description Meaning
User-added image Confirmed period Solid pink indicates a confirmed period. If you don’t have your period, you can edit the dates. See How do I add, edit, or delete a period in the Fitbit app?
User-added image Predicted period Light pink indicates a predicted period.
User-added image Estimated fertile window Solid blue indicates an estimated fertile window.
User-added image Estimated ovulation day A flower inside a fertile window indicates your estimated ovulation day.
User-added image Confirmed period & estimated
fertile window
Solid pink and blue overlapping to form purple means your predicted period and estimated fertile window overlap.
User-added image Selected day ring A circle indicates the selected date.
User-added image Today ring The Today ring indicates the current date.
User-added image Logged detail dot A dot underneath a date on the calendar indicates you logged female health details for that day.

@MarreFitbit is there a similar chart clearly explaining the fluids? For example, I'm not really sure what the sticky option means with the honeycomb picture??? Nor the egg white...is that referring to  ovulation mucus or is it referring to the opacity of the fluid being clear like egg whites? Also could I suggest adding an option for thickness of the fluid (or is that what sticky is referring to?). I'm so confused!! Help & clarification much appreciated lol.

I agree! I think these cutesy icons are infantalizing & only make the reality confusing.

Anything I chose here would be a total guess. That doesn't help me.

I am a human woman and all I know is that I don't have egg whites or honeycomb coming  out of my body. 🤣

Thanks, but that's not really a feature suggestion as much as it is a suggestion to improve the clarity of the feature you've got.

Did anyone ever clarify this? I just got a Fitbit today, and I have no idea what the egg and honeycomb are in reference to either. Like raw egg white or cooked or ? No idea what any of that means

Hi! It would be helpful if each of the fluids had a description like this: https://helloclue.com/articles/cycle-a-z/wet-sticky-what-your-discharge-is-telling-you

I had no clue “Egg White” fluid in the fit bit app would be a clear fluid, for example
