Female health repeatedly crashes the app

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

When I try to open Female Health tile, the app constantly crashes. The only way to get it working is to log out and log in again. It works ok for a short period of time, but when I try to open Female Health again in several days, it crashes again. I have to log out, log in, etc. The most annoying thing is that when I re-login, it resets all my tiles on the dashboard and I have to rearrange them every single time. Updating the app didn't help, the latest version has the same problem.

Is there a fix for this?

Hi @irakez

Your post was moved to the Female Health Tracking forum area for better response.

Which mobile device are you using? Android, iOS or Windows? It helps to know which app.

Let us know.

Update: it actually works only once after I log in. If I try to open it again right away or in a couple of days, the app starts crashing again.

Update: I'm using Android, so I posted it in the Android section. Didn't realize that there is a whole separate section for Female Health here, cool! Smiley Happy

I tried searching for similar questions in the general Android app forum and couldn't find anything related, so I created a new topic, but in this section I see that this bug has already been reported, escalated and you are investigating. Is that right? Any updates on this investigation?

Hello,

I'm having issues using the female health tracker tile in the fitbit app on android. Every time I try to open the tile it crashes the app, giving me the message that fitbit has stopped working and closing it. I've tried updating and reinstalling the app. Reinstalling allows me to open it once then the same problem returns. Any suggestions would be much appreciated 🙂

Welcome on board @GWeatherwax, it's nice to see you here! Thanks for the steps taken in order to sort this out!

I'm also wondering if the app is installed on the internal storage of your phone or is located in the external storage. This option might depend of the version of Android, however if the app is in the external storage it may present this type of crashes.

Log out from your Fitbit app and go to your phone settings. Access to the App manager option and look for the Fitbit app in your downloaded apps list. Once you are there, clear the app cache and data and proceed to "Force Stop" the app. Finish the workaround by restarting your phone one more time. When your phone has initialized, go back to your app and try again. Also, please make sure that your Fitbit app is up-to-dateCat Very Happy

I would recommend to repeat the process to log out, in case that it is still crashing out;  restart your phone and try again. If the issue persist would you mind sharing with us your Android OS and Fitbit app version.

Thanks for moving the post @Odyssey13

Keep me posted.

Please can someone from Fitbit help me. I've sent in requests for help from within the app when it crashes, but as usual from Fitbit, no one responds 😔

Over the last month the female health tile in the app does not work properly. Logged symptoms disappear, sometimes they reappear. I've gone in and relogged them multiple times but the data gets lost again. It even forgot the last edit of my period date and is now telling me my last cycle is 61 days, which it isn't, it's because the app has lost the data somehow. The app also crashes when I'm using the female health tile. All other parts of the app do not crash, it's just the female health. I'm upset because I used to use a seperate tracker because it had more functions but then swapped to fitbit to keep everything in one place. Now I can't do anything as the data is gone. Sometimes the app freezes, sometimes it goes to blank black screen.

I've tried the workarounds listed on the forums. The app is saved in internal memory on my android phone. I've forced stopped it, reset the phone and Bluetooth. I've redownloaded the app, and made sure it was the latest version. Still the health tracking section doesn't work and crashes.

I think this a problem at the developer end as it worked perfectly until about a month ago when the app was reformatted. Please can you just give me a working version, even if it doesn't look so snazzy. Function over looks!!

I've been a loyal customer for years but I'm really considering quitting all my fitbit products. I've got an Aria 2 scale that doesn't work (I've posted about, tried the work around which don't resolve anything and then no one responds further on it). I've got an ionic watch screen that keeps going funny (worked fine for a year and now the screen overlays too many screens on top of each other that you can't read it and the battery life is reduced now too). Not to mention it hardly ever syncs with the app! I've found a workaround using Strava to force sync it, but that's temperamental too.

Why does no one message me back to try to fix these things? Happy to send them in for repair, or failing that try replacements, but nothing has been suggested. I'm just ignored. These products cost a lot of money, some level of customer service is expected. Please help me!!!

Hi there @Samrason. Thank you for the thorough feedback for the Fitbit environment, customer service and devices. This has not gone unnoticed and be sure that I will pass this along.

Fitbit has been designed to provide motivation and help you to reach your daily goals to success. Please know that we provide feedback to our team based on community posts and we are always working on improving our devices and overall environment based on that feedback.

We're aware of some issues currently affecting the FHT tile on the Android version of the Fitbit app.

  • Your previously logged data may have disappeared from the calendar
  • Logging any new periods/data is not saving
  • The app will crash when trying to access the FHT tile

We've reported this to our team for investigation. We hope to get this resolved very soon, but in the meantime, we appreciate your patience. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.
