Hi @Courtney915 we're just members of the public Fitbit forum who use the device, so I doubt you'll get an answer for your question. With the reversal only a week old, I'm not sure any company can tell a patron just what the plans are to safeguard that information. We might just need to wait until more is known.

Tldr: They are not, and don't look to be any time soon.
Fitbit has confirmed that it will comply with subpoenas as required by law which, while not great, isn't unexpected.

The only way I really see around this is for them to allow you to store some data locally (or, *gasp*, have period data not synced by default)--fitbit can't release information it doesn't have. There's currently a feature request for that on the forums, but has no movement from Fitbit since it was posted in 2015.
Right now the only 'safe' way I'm aware of is to use a calendar or spreadsheet app and just list the dates without labels (or a label that isn't obvious to others). Not great, but this is where we are now.
I'm gonna keep asking for a local storage option, I just don't have any faith that Fitbit is going to put user confidence first any time soon.
Fun fact: The 'can't release what you don't have' philosophy is why most public libraries don't store your checkout history, and has been since at least the 70s. (Reason 567 why libraries are awesome)
