Predicted period should move when I say “not yet”

The predicted period should move to the next day when you say “not yet” on the confirmation.  It was not counting the day of my cycle properly because, despite saying “not yet”, it still counted me in my predicted period.

Im having trouble because i do'nt want to change the length of my predicted period- i just want to delete it altogether! The app seems to think i started my period 3 days ago and even when i click 'not yet' on all the predicted days, they do not go away. I would be really grateful if you could help. Thank you 😊

@MarreFitbit it still does not work as expected. My period is 2 days late, I keep pushing the "Not Yet" button, but it keeps counting down the "days until your period ends". So nothing has changed at all, not sure if you guys updated something on your end since I commented on this thread (June 2018). Thank you.

@MarreFitbit I have a correction, something I have noticed today. My period is still late, by now it's late with more than 6 days (which is normally the length of my average period). So every day I clicked on "Not Yet" and nothing happened (it kept showing "x days until period ends"), except today, when it realized the period did not happen so it changed the message to "your period is due to start today" and it shifted the whole cycle forward, with the length of the average period (6 days in my case). So something is definitely updated, not sure why I was expecting the whole 6 day cycle to be pushed forward in 1 day increments, but apparently it is pushed forward in larger increments. Do you have more information on how this is supposed to be functioning? Thank you very much!

I'm going to agree with everything.  Phone, App, and Fitbit are all updated, but the issue persists.  I'm perimenopausal, and just simply did not have a period this cycle, but there's no option to just delete it.  It just keeps shifting forward.

I've always doubled up with my old faithful tracker app, that I've used since 2013.  It handled the skipped period with no problem.  For example, the confirmed period shows the period days as colored in on the calendar.  The skipped one is just stripes of that color, indicating that it *would* have happened then, but didn't.  It still handled the ovulation predictions fine, and continues to predict when the next one may happen.

Aside from my situation with perimenopause, there are plenty of reasons why a period may not happen for completely explainable reasons like illness, medication changes, stress.  This really forces us to rely on other apps until this (and adding notes - I'd like to track Pap visits and Mammograms!) is fixed.

After reading all the information in this thread, I've turned off predictions, but that seems like such an odd solution for a period app.  I'd love to see the "Not Yet" button actually do something.

@Missus_B exactly same situation, I am perimenopausal and it would help a lot if I could track when it's actually happening or not. My period was 12 days late this month. So the app pushed it twice, in 6-day increments, but only when the chunk of 6 days was up.

Basically it went like this:

Sep 6 - Period due but didn't start - App says "Your period is due to start today" - I select "Not Yet"

Sep 7 - No period yet - App says "5 days until period ends" - I select "Not Yet"

Sep 8 - No period yet - App says "4 days until period ends" - I select "Not Yet"

...

Sep 11 - No period yet - App says "1 day until period ends" - I select "Not Yet"

Sep 12 - No period yet - App says "Your period is due to start today" - I select "Not Yet"

Sep 13 - No period yet - App says "5 days until period ends" - I select "Not Yet"

Sep 14 - No period yet - App says "4 days until period ends" - I select "Not Yet"

...

Sep 17 - No period yet - App says "1 day until period ends" - I select "Not Yet"

Sep 18 - Surprise! - App says "Your period is due to start today" - I select "Yes"

So, it sort of tries to do what it's supposed to, but it's pretty weird how it works. Hence I asked @MarreFitbit for more info, but so far I have not heard back...

I've come in here because it says I'm on Day 2 of a period that hasn't started yet, and there isn't even a Not Yet button to press! Do I just put up with being told my period is continuing, and input my period when it does arrive? It's confusing, it'll be extra confusing if it ends up telling me my period has been and gone when it hasn't arrived yet, and it also appears to be a bug, not a feature.
