A very strange resting heart rate

Hello!

I just got my fitbit this morning. I checked my heart rate when I was sitting, and it was . . . 104. I've checked it repeatedly and it always over 100. I'm on my schools x country team and I'm an active person so I would think that it would be on the lower side rather than sky-high. I don't ever drink caffeine. I do take adhd medication (methylphenidate) which I have heard can raise your heart rate by some, but 100+ seems like a LOT. Am I ok? Thanks!

@Dill_Pickle your Fitbit is not a medical device and you may want to talk to a health care professional who is familiar with your personal situation about your heart rate.

If you want to verify that your Fitbit is measuring your heart rate accurately, there are instructions for determining your heart rate manually here.
