Hi, Fitbit Community!
Welcome if you're a new member, & welcome back if you've been here awhile. 🙂

Hello! Newbie here, too! I live in Mississippi, on the Gulf Coast. Hotter than Hades here right now, and will be like this until the Fall now. I don't mind, though, as long as the AC is working. lol I have a Degenerative Bone Disease that causes me chronic pain in my bones, nerves, spine, etc. I have surgeries from time to time to fix things. (Like a classic car). I had both hips replaced last year in July, and in January of last year I had my neck fused in three spots. I just had my left shoulder replaced 2/23/22, and am healing from that one. Due to my chronic pain, my FitBit shows me how little good sleep I get. My Readiness Score from yesterday was Fair. So, I am working on that. I love the pool, but the YMCA won't open the outdoor pool until May, but the indoor pool has my attention. I do like walking with my new hips. So much better than the grinding agony it was. It seems pretty much of a downer, but I still can "sort of" get around. I am legally disabled, but I live my life as I can with the help of my hubby and kids. Hugs. Welcome!

Me, too. I need help trying to remember to drink all of my water, and to eat more. I never thought I'd have to worry about that, but I do. I had a bad habit of not eating all day and then eat like a ravenous wolf at dinner. I now eat throughout the day, with more calculated, thoughtful meals and snacks. I will not weigh myself, though. I refuse to. If I don't see in the numbers what I expect to see, I may fall off the wagon. I can tell you that I can pull my blue jean shorts off without unbuttoning or unzipping them. So, I know it's working. 😉

You, too! Thank you! Did some housecleaning to the tune of about 340 calories. Burning fat right now, as we speak. Time to chill with some ice water. Have a great day!

Good morning, thanks for becoming my friend here. I have health I don't let them slow me down. I stay active all the time. I do work out dvds at home at least 3 times a week that's on a good week. Lol😂. I have a hubby and a teenager daughter and a cat his name is Igor. I do at least 10,000 steps a day or more using the Fitbit. I just started doing strength training works. A personal trainer gave me a few leads to start out with. I watched a few YouTube videos on how to do each exercise. Which was pretty cool. Hey don't put yourself down in any way. You're perfect just the way you are. Look at the surgeries as up grades to continue your journey in life in health and most of all with your family. Have a great day😊

You should check out Amazon.com. I got some SHARPRO infusion water bottles there like 32 oz. you can add fresh fruit to your water and your water will taste like the fruit. My daughter not a big water drinker. She like looking at the fruit, well she thinks it pretty. So now she drinks 32 oz of water or more a day. I mean when you get a chance check them out. The water bottles come in a variety of colors and are reasonably priced. I'm a diabetic so I have to watch my carb count daily. I do 2 to 3 small meals a day with 2 snacks and lots of water. Portion control matters but it's not easy. And plenty of exercise and sleep. This is what I do for myself. Congrats on your healthy journey.

Hi, I'm Caroline. Born and bred in the UK, I've been a Fitbit owner for 8 years, starting with a Zip and quite swiftly moving onto the Ionic and now the Sense.
It's habitual for me to wake up and sync my Fitbit. Although I don't do a lot of manual logging, I'm keep an eye on my resting heart rate, and sleep tracking most frequently, and always log my exercise, whatever it is I'm doing.
I love to walk long distances, run, swim and go to the gym. Over the past 8 months my fitness levels have dropped and I've not run much. My aim for joining this community is to get insights from fellow members in terms of how best to raise my fitness levels again, start running again but whilst working within my zones and using my Fitbit to do that. I want to do this in order to eliminate unnecessary fatigue and illness.
It's the perfect time of the year to do this and I'm just getting over Covid, hence the desire to do this sensibly.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi my name is Jan and I live in Canada. I am unhappy w Fitbit bc every replacement band I buy doesn't fit my charge 2. So I bought right from Fitbit online & still doesn't fit and it's going to cost me to ship it back but if I lived in US it would be a free shipping. I will be changing my tracker to a more accommodating brand. Perhaps fitbit should make their bands in North America?

Hi Fitbit fam!
New here but not new to fitness. Name is Ben and I'm from Los Angeles, California. I mainly got my Fitbit to track my heart rate and calorie burn although I'm really digging the built-in Alexa feature. I'm in the gym 5-6 days per week, boxing 3-4 days per week and I also enjoy hiking and stand up paddle boarding. As for weather, well I'm from CALIFORNIA... need I say more? 😎
Btw, if anyone needs a new fitness junkie friend, ADD ME! 💪

I hope your daughter gets well really quickly and fully. I have asthma as well. I get "that cough" every time the pollen count goes up the first time of the season. I am hanging in there. I am doing PT on Tues and Thurs. I have been increasing my walking as I am able to. Can you change the vacation for her? That day trip sounds like fun! We have Dauphin Island down here, which is about 45 minutes away. That's my spring/summer beach fun go-to. Thanks for touching base! Hugs!

Hello my name is Nicole and I live in Vermont where unfortunately it is rainy right now for spring showers that bring May flowers. My favorite fitbit feature is the sleep tracker. I get fit by walking my dog and doing yoga and tai chi.

Hello all,
My name is Clayton, I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and I have been a Fitbit user since 2014. I am a numbers junkie who loves to stay active, so the Fitbit really plays into all of that.
My love of numbers has bled into my enjoyment of spreadsheets of all things. I had started an Excel workbook for my Fitbit and seeing those numbers everyday really keeps me motivated to keep getting better. Back in 2019, I suffered some major injuries in an accident, bike versus car (guess which one I was), and my fitness, thanks in large part to the Fitbit, pulled me through a long stay in the hospital and once I got out, I tried my best to get back on the Fitbit train and I'm happy to say that it has kept me going.
That's me, in a nutshell. Just happy to be here!
