Hello Everyone! 👋 I’m excited to join this community and connect with others on their health and fitness journeys. While I’ve been a casual Fitbit user over the years, I’ve recently rebooted my commitment to tracking my well-being — both physically and mentally. So, I figured now’s the perfect time to introduce myself and hopefully meet some like-minded friends along the way!

Originally from California, I’ve spent the last several years living in Japan with my family. Most of that time has been in the Kanto region, but I also had a few wonderful years in Kansai through my work in Human Resources. Living here has been an adventure in every sense of the word!

Even though I find myself in one of the most densely populated urban areas on the planet, at heart, I’m a small-town guy who feels most at peace in nature. I spent my high school years just outside of Yosemite National Park, where the awe-inspiring landscapes left a lifelong impact on me and shaped my love for the great outdoors.

These days, my fitness journey is more of an urban adventure. I take daily walks along the Tama River, which has become my grounding ritual. There’s something about the rhythm of walking that clears my mind and recharges my spirit. Along the way, I love stopping at temples and shrines, soaking in the serene atmosphere, and listening to audiobooks on self-development and inspiration.

As a lifelong photography enthusiast (read: enthusiastic amateur!), I also enjoy snapping photos during my walks — capturing simple, everyday moments that make me pause and appreciate the world around me.

I’d love to connect with anyone here who shares similar interests in walking, photography, Japan’s rich culture, or simply enjoying nature in all its forms. Wishing everyone here a fulfilling and meaningful journey, wherever your path takes you!

Looking forward to getting to know you all. 😊

I do a lot of aerobic workouts. Yoga sometimes for flexibility and light weight training. I have a goal to run a 5k this year so I’m starting to run a couple miles once a week.

How about yourself?
